Sunday Selfies: Week #572
Poor Sawyer, almost always looks grumpy. I guess you could say he is a Grouchy Manx. (If you are too young to get that pun, I am sorry!)
If you have never seen his original Gotcha Day photo, here it is … majorly grumpy kitten!
I do not care how grumpy, grouchy or growly Sawyer gets, I love this kiddo with all my heart. He’s getting better about letting us give him his transdermal meds with little growling now. He gets treats afterwards and growls while eating those instead of at us.
Unfortunately, Sawyer did have a seizure last Monday and again on Tuesday, but he’s a trooper. With his phenobarbital level so slow, we are happy he is not having more. If they do become consistently frequent, an increase in dose will be needed. Of course, we will keep you all posted.

Your face is adorable, Sawyer! (With regards to Mo’s mouse murder, the mouse was already dead when I noticed what he had, and it was dark out so I couldn’t really see anything. I just knew what was going on. I never would’ve been able to watch it either. If the mouse had been alive I would’ve tried to get him to drop it!)

Well Sawyer, we don’t mind if you’re occasionally grumpy – we all have “those days” and you sadly with your seizures have more of “those” than the average kitty. We love your selfie for today anyway – you look ready for a snack! Hope you, your siblings and your parents have a beautiful Sunday……it’s so NICE outside lately – hope it stays that way.

I am sorry Sawyer has had more seizures. That is a handsome selfie, Sawyer. You are not alone as I also have a naturally grumpy face and have to remember to try and keep a smile on it.
In the face of what dear Sawyer goes through, I think a little grump every now and then is allowed. And for all that, his selfie is lovely.

Sawyer does look a little grumpy, but I think it’s really cute. Sorry to hear of the seizures, we sure hope the meds can be kept at the lowest possible level.
