PTU PLAYTIME & THANKSGIVING SPARK

Awww Mondays 

The PTU is not such a scary place if the cat is not the one going to the vet. In fact, jostling for the opportunity to inhabit it can make for some fun playtime, as demonstrated by Raleigh and Kizmet.

Sparks

With Thanksgiving in the United States just a few days away, I wanted a Spark representing gratitude. This quote from Joseph Auslander is not what I was looking for, but with the wars between Israel and Hamas and Ukraine and Russia, it seemed totally appropriate!

 

 

Joseph Auslander was an American poet, anthologist, novelist and translater of poetry. He graduated from Harvard University in 1917, and became an instructor in English at Harvard while studying for an advanced degree in 1919. From 1921 to 1922 he attended the Sorbonne in Paris on fellowship. Auslander was appointed the first Poet Laureate Consultant in Poetry to the Library of Congress and served from 1937 to 1941. His best-known work is “The Unconquerables” (1943), a collection of poems addressed to the German-occupied countries of Europe. He received the Robert Frost Prize for Poetry.

Sparks is the creation of Annie from McGuffy’s Reader. Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend. Annie stated when she began Sparks, “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world.”

The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky

Tomorrow is that special day each week when Periwinkle and Stinky set out on a new adventure. Tomorrow they will be taking off from Periwinkle’s home over at Friends Furever. I know the kitties are looking forward to sharing their adventure with you, so please don’t let them down. Their adventures are always worth a few minutes of your time.
