Sparks
Misty May has a totally negative judgmental attitude, and if she isn’t sleeping, she is complaining. She is here to illustrate today’s Spark, but it’s really for me. I am striving not to complain during my latest ordeal. I also am trying to shut out all the gossip, criticism and faultfinding associated with the upcoming election. It is absolutely exhausting! So, all-in-all, this seemed like an appropriate Spark for today.
I was unfamiliar with the author of today’s Spark, so I thought you might be as well. Pauline Joyce Meyer is a 77-year-old, American Charismatic Christian author and speaker. She is president of Joyce Meyer Ministries headquartered near St. Louis, Missouri.
As we have been reminding you for months, Sparks is the creation of Annie from McGuffy’s Reader. Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend. Annie stated when she began Sparks,“I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world.”

The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky
Tomorrow Stinky and his girlfriend, Periwinkle, will be off on another of their exciting adventures. You’ll be able to join them at Friends Furever. Please don’t disappoint them by missing out on the fun!
We try to stay positive about the things we can somewhat control, and try to remember that “this too shall pass” for just about everything else.
Great Spark. These days are pretty rough for most of us and it’s so easy to become negative. We all need to work to keep our spirits up.
Periwinkle is excited about tomorrow’s adventure!
The Florida Furkids with paw pats and headbonks to Sawyer from Noelle
That is a great spark. I try to avoid people like that. XO
What a pawsome Spark! It’s hard to remain positive when things are so crazy.
Yep- I stay away from ugly words and news. Have a super day!
Hi Misty May! Thank you for modeling the Spark, we love it and you look so cute!
I just love that spark, trick is to follow it’s advice – not so easy in an election year but thanks for the reminder!
Misty Mae we hear you. Some kitties are just a bit standoffish and that is fine.
Dad remembers his PT from so very long ago and the stress of it all. It is really hard to get through the feelings of being so very impacted by this. The words of others if not supportive let them out with the trash. You know who your friends are and they will always give you the support you need. Yes some days that is hard to see but you will persevere and overcome. We are all thinking of you and are sending purrs and prayers
We really like that Spark!
Just this morning, the news started broadcasting something that made The Hubby mad, so I switched the channel to some kid’s episode of venomous snakes! I cannot listen to his ranting anymore! Thank goodness there is only a week to go.
What a great Spark and I so agree. We don’t listen to the so called media anymore. If any of the shows we watch on Netflix or Amazon Prime start with politics we turn it off. I’m so done with all the negativity.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches to all the kitties and a big hug to the mom. ♥
Mom refuses to read or hear the hate. No so called “news” is allowed that can be heard on TV or read in the “newspaper”; and Face Book is just friends. If they get extreme, mom doesn’t unfriend…she unfollows so as to spare having to have hatred washing over her.
I couldn’t agree more.
There’s an incredible amount of negativity “out there” and we just aren’t allowing it “in here” at home. At least we’re trying to keep our home atmosphere calm, cool, collected and positive. Being negative is tiring for the soul. I love your SPARK today – it speaks to me…….loud and clear.
Hugs, Pam
Negativity is SO crippling to just about everything.
Hope you are not having too much pain from your foot surgery, Miss Janet.
Purrs and POTP to you.
