COOPER MURPHY CELEBRATES HIS GOTCHA DAY

A Very Wordy Wednesday

When I was writing yesterday’s post and knowing the sadness it would bring, I was relieved to know that today’s post would maybe distract myself and all of you.

Today is Cooper Murphy’s Gotcha Day. He came to us in 2017 as a cat someone had abandoned in the snow. We have never understood why people do such disgraceful things to innocent animals. On top of that, Cooper Murphy was a total sweetheart. Don’t get me wrong, like all of us, he has his good and bad days and isn’t always a gentleman when it comes to little interlopers like Tali and Gibbs.

Cooper Murphy arrived only a few months prior to Sawyer, and he did, however, take Sawyer under his paw. So, Coop asked if he could share two photos from that time.

Cooper looked like a little fellow when he arrived; though, he weighed in at 14 pounds. The following photo was snapped about one month after Cooper’s arrival.

Today, at 20+ pounds, Cooper Murphy looks as if he swallowed that kitty. He is definitely overweight, but Dr. McBane has told us that abandoned kitties often suffer from food insecurity and are prone to over eat. Thankfully, she has not chastised us or him for his weight.

Cooper thinks this is enough reminiscing, and it is time for some celebrating. We hope you will join us!

First a special card.

And some cake. I did not think it was appropriate to ask Cooper to make his own cake, so I did my best to create something for him.

We also have some grilled shrimp, beverages and our famous nip ice cream.

Though, this has been a very wordy post; Cooper Murphy will be participating in the Wordless Wednesday blog hop at Comedy Plus. If you would like to do the same, click on the WW badge.
