Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
If it is Thursday, that means it is time for some poetry. Our pals from Two Spoiled Cats (Teddy and Angel Sammy) provide an inspiration photo and participants write a poem to accompany it.
Here’s the photo followed by my poem.

Boat “Jam”
What were we thinking joining this parade?
We’re not moving, and there’s no shade!
Our water and snacks ran out hours ago.
I have to pee, there’s no place to “go.”
I’m tired, cold, “hangry” and bored.
People watching is now just a chore.
Do you think these boats could be stepping stones
to get us out of here and heading back home?

Angel Sammy is the official poet at Two Spoiled Cats. He transmits his poem from the Rainbow Bridge to Teddy for publication. He is one of the best poets we know. So, please head over to Two Spoiled Cats and check out his poem. You can find it by clicking on the poetry badge. Thankful Thursday
Thursday is also the day when Kitties Blue and I share the things for which we are thankful. When finished, we participate in the Thankful Thursday blog hop hosted by Angel Brian.
Our thankfuls for this week include:
🎄 I have designed and already ordered Kitties Blue holiday cards. Hopefully, that means I will get them in the mail in a timely manner this year. If postage prices keep going up, we may have to abandon this project in the future.
🚴🏻♀️ I have advanced to riding 20 minutes on the Peloton and pedaling forwards instead of backwards.
😴 I am particularly thankful I had a couple of nights this week when I got more than just a few hours of sleep,
🥇 Our Certificates of Excellence from this year’s Cat Writers’ Association contest finally arrived in the mail. Muse Medallions will be awarded later this month. Stinky and Periwinkle will share the ones they received with readers next Tuesday.
😺 Kitties Blue and I are always thankful for each of you who visit, comment and enter our Sunday Selfies blog hop.
If you would like to join us on the hop, click on the badge below.
Thanks for stopping to see us today.

Charlee: “That is definitely the sort of situation where our Dada would take one look at the crowd, turn around, get back in the car, and drive far, far away …”
Wonderful news. Congrats to you! And for the Pelaton acchievement, too.
Funny poem. And wonderful thankfuls. I am impressed about the cards and the Peloton. xO
I agree with your poem, I wouldn’t want to be there.
How great you’ve recovered enough to enjoy your Peleton again!

That was a fun poem and that boat mess was sure something. Terrific thankfuls and here’s to more sleepful nights! Thanks for joining Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
I’m glad that you’re getting more sleep. it’s so important! My hubby and I actually bought a king-sized bed so we could all (him, me and the 3 dogs) get a good nights sleep. And he got different kind of masks for his bipap machine and mouth tape so he didn’t keep me awake. (Sorry about going on about this, it’s just that we found out how important it is!)
I may just be sending cards via email this year. Postage has gone through the roof.
Good poem, and I don’t think anyone will be abandoning ship, as they say, LOL
Excellent poem, and that’s exactly how I’d feel if I was stuck in that boat jam.
That boat jam is just crazy. We think all of your THANKFULS are great.

That’s a great poem this week. I’m glad you are improving with your rehabilitation.
Oh, you had the same idea I had!! How in the world would you leave (or go to pee!?) if you had to. Not for me, thanks! Great poem, by the way. PS, thanks for all your thoughts and purrayers when we lost our sweet Gypsy girl last week.
Great news about the Peloton!
Good for you pedalling forward and well done with the Certificates of Excellence!
