BIRTHDAY POEM & THANKFULS

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday

So we are back this Thursday with both poetry and some thankfuls. I am beginning with a poem based on an inspiration photo provided by Angel Sammy and Teddy (Two Spoiled Cats). Here’s the photo followed by my poem.

A frog band present a birthday poem and thankfuls.

The Birthday Band

I hired the renowned frog birthday band
to put on a concert for a special friend.
Their music was totally melodious,
and their singing almost harmonious.
Until they got to “We wish you a happy birthday.”
Then I had to put my fingers in my ears,
as their croaking nearly brought me to tears.
Next year, I think I’ll just send a card!

I have a couple of things to accompany my poem, as today is Teddy and Angel Sammy’s mom’s birthday.

Colorful birthday card for Pam.

And, of course, we have a cake courtesy of Cooper Murphy.

Four-tier birthday cake with aqua and pink stars and pink flowers and the words, "Happy Birthday Pam."

Pam, Kitties Blue and I wish you the happiest of birthdays filled with love, joy and oodles of Teddy purrs and cuddles.

Each week Angel Sammy transmits his poem from the Rainbow Bridge to Teddy for publication. Angel Sammy always writes a terrific poem, so you do not want to miss checking it out. Just click on the poetry badge to head over to Two Spoiled Cats and read his poem. While visiting, check out the inspiration photo for next week and join us in writing some poetry.

Thankful Thursday

I have several thankfuls this week.

I am grateful for my wonderful friend, Pam. If you have the opportunity, please stop by Two Spoiled Cats and wish her a Happy Birthday. As I stated above, you can get there by clicking on the poetry badge.

I am also thankful for my friends, Tammy and Mary Jane. Both came to visit me this week, and Tammy brought molasses cookies and lemon bars, two of my very favorite treats!

Dad Tom and I are thankful for everyone who left comments on the post from last Saturday about Astrid gaining her angel wings. I have begun to reply to those comments and will continue to do so. If interested in my replies, you can go to “A Prefect & Beautiful Tortie Angel.”

I begin my outpatient physical therapy today. I am particularly thankful to be getting on with my rehabilitation.

Kitties Blue and I will be participating in the Thankful Thursday blog hop hosted by Angel Brian. To do the same, click on the Thankful badge.

Thanks for being our friends and joining us today.
