Awww Mondays
Did we just hear a squee?
We discovered these beautiful creatures in our yard when we got up on Friday morning. The doe hid her tiny fawn behind our A/C’s condenser unit where it slept for several hours while she went off somewhere else. She did come back to check on it once and then retrieved it in the early evening.

The following morning, mom deer was lying (bottom right photo) in our side yard. We did not see her fawn, but there are a variety of places in the yard where she could have stashed it. We have not seen either mom or fawn since Saturday morning.
Deer can be found in yards all around our area, but this was our first visit that we know about. We once saw a large deer bounding down our alley in the middle of the night on our exterior camera feed.
I have shared in the past about the incrediblle number of critters that visit our yard, which is pretty amazing as we live in the city. This beautiful doe did remove more than a few leaves from some of our hostas. Nonetheless, she and her baby are welcome anytime.
Cooper Murphy will be joining the Awww Mondays blog hop hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus. You can do the same by clicking on the Awww badge.
Sparks
Cooper Murphy is presenting today’s Spark, which seems appropriate.

Cooper Murphy discovered the doe all on his own and was fascinated.
Sparks is the creation of Annie from McGuffy’s Reader. It began as a blog hop, created by our friend. Annie stated when she began Sparks, “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world.”
The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky
Tomorrow is the special day when Periwinkle and Stinky set out on a new adventure. Periwinkle is in charge of making a plan for this week. That means to join in the fun, you will need to meet them at Friends Furever. Your favorite tabby adventurers will be looking for you tomorrow. So, please don’t forget to check in to find out what they get up to and into!
Thanks for joining us today.

So very precious! And what great pictures you got. I can only imagine what was going through C.M.’s head. My pups barked like they were going out of their minds when we had our Mama and fawn visit last week.
Lulu: “We’re sure the animals love your providing them with a wildlife sanctuary! You could sell tickets to come see them!”
Java Bean: “Ayyy, I would buy one!”
Such a wonderful sight to see any old day! We only see deer occasionally here and they always make us smile.
Wow, that is so cool that the doe felt your yard was fawn worthy!! Yes, Awww for sure!
And a great spark to go along with it!
I’m glad you welcome and enjoy such visitors. It is easy to be compassionate to the animals, I wish everyone would.
Beautiful photos and excellent spark. XO
Awww. This is the best Awww Monday this week. How precious they are and seeing Cooper Murphy is always a treat.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches to all the kitties, a smooch to Cooper Murphy and Sawyer and a big hug to mom. ♥
I agree, animals are never wicked.
We think there are deer visiting our yard, but we only see the evidence of someone chewing on some of our really tall plants.
TOTALLY Squee and aww worthy. Great Spark too!
The Florida Furkids with love and whisker kisses to Sawyer from Noelle
What a fabulous picture of Cooper Murphy and the view out the window! And, all wonderful captures of the deer!
