Sparks
This is another Spark from the Happy Color app. (Of course, I felt it needed a cat!)
When I saw this, it reminded me that I am failing when it comes to keeping a positive attitude and not worrying. Into adulthood, I was always a worrier, until both my sister and aunt explained to me that worrying was a useless practice if I had no control over what I was worrying about. Since that time, I have been pretty good about dismissing worry…until lately. Family and friends in the line of California fires, the coronavirus, Sawyer’s escalating seizures, the senseless violence in our country have made it hard not to worry and feel anxious. So, I need this reminder, and I suspect some of you may as well.
Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend, Annie (McGuffy’s Reader). Annie is taking a “break” from blogging, so there is no hop. Many of us continue to believe in Annie’s vision: “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!”
Awww Mondays
Though Misty May is included as part of today’s Spark, Cooper Murphy is joining the Awww Mondays blog hop at Comedy Plus. The empty stinky goodness cans are always sought out after Kitties Blue have cleaned their bowls. Sawyer usually heads right for them, but sometimes another of the cats beat him there.
You can join the hop by clicking on the badge below this photo.
The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky
Tomorrow Stinky and his girlfriend, Periwinkle, will be off on another of their exciting adventures. You’ll be able to join them at Friends Furever. Please don’t disappoint them by missing out on the fun!
Great spark. We also try to keep worry to a minimum. Mom would never let me eat from the can. She’d be concerned that I’d hurt myself on the sharp edge.
Great spark and cue photo.XO
Great spark and Cooper Murphey we love to lick the cans too!
The world is full of things to worry about right now, and more appear every day.
It’s hard to not be drawn into the drama, but each of us only has so much capacity for fears and troubles, that we start to check out. It’s such a bizarre time we are in.
That is a great Spark. Worry takes no action and no action is just that.
We also like to lick the cans. Now it is Toby’s Fancy Feast that is the big hit. Rumpy and Einstein vie to get in the best licks. Me, I like the good old friskies Pate cans. Mmmm
That really is a terrific Spark, easier said than done sometimes. We love that wonderful Cooper Murphy yum photo.
These are indeed trying times. Living in some big cities would be most frightening right now. I’m glad I don’t. I did talk to a couple who live in Portland, Oregon some weeks ago and they are most frightened at what’s happening.
I love all your kitties, but you know how much I love Cooper Murphy and Sawyer.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches to all the kitties and a hug to the mom. ♥
Mom needs to learn how to stop worrying. That’s a really good Spark.
Cooper Murphy, are you helping yourself to the stinky goodness?
The Florida Furkids with smoochies and love to Angel Mau from Allie and paw pats and headbonks to Sawyer from Noelle
Lovely picture and timely quote. I, too, have to keep reminding myself to just change what I can and leave the rest in the Lord’s hands. Cute picture of Cooper Murphy! Take care and be well.
The graphic IS beautiful and like you were, I too have had my share of being the worrier and umbrella carrier…even if the sun is shining. Not quite so much now. I have learned why I shouldn’t worry.
Well you know how I feel about worrying – it doesn’t change a thing and just makes us pretty miserable along the way….but these days it’s VERY hard not to worry isn’t it. You have little Sawyer to worry about. Life is so different but will spin on its’ own as it always has without help (or worry!). Love the graphic – it’s beautiful.
Hugs, Pam
That is true.Worrying won’t change anything apart from stressing yourself out.
