Thankful Thursday
Each Thursday we are happy to share the things for which we are thankful.
Kitties Blue are most thankful for all the holiday cards they have received. They have gotten at least five for each one Dad Tom and I have received.
Though Sawyer had a small focal seizure last evening, he has been seizure free for a little over three weeks. We are all so grateful.
Kitties Blue and I are thankful for the support and friendship each of you offer us.
Thankful Thursday is a blog hop hosted by everyone’s friend, Brian. If you’d like to participate, post on your blog for what you are thankful and then click on the badge below to link up with the hop.
Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
Thursday is also the day some of us write poetry based on an inspiration photo provided by Angel Sammy and Teddy from Two Spoiled Cats. Here’s this week’s photo.
You Have to Suffer to Be Beautiful
All this primping is such a pain
To look pretty for another Great Dane.
I am certain he doesn’t even like me,
But my parents have invited him for tea
To see if he’d make a good mate,
So the two of us might propagate
And give them a litter of puppies!

The title I selected for my poem is something my mother used to say to me often when I was a child. The photo reminded me of it, as she often said this after setting my hair with metal curlers, which I would then have to sleep on.
Check out Two Spoiled Cats for next week’s inspiration photo. And make certain to read Angel Sammy’s poem. He transmits it to Teddy each week from the Rainbow Bridge, and he is a first-rate poet.
We’re also happy about the seizure free period and hope it continues. What an absolutely gorgeos picture of Sawyer!
Our Mom says she used to put her long hair up in huge plastic roller and put an inflatable plastic thingie attached to a hair dryer over them, but she never had to sleep in curlers. We think her Mom never would have been able to make her. (She was/is very strong-willed!)

Cute poem and wonderful thankfuls. XO
We all love you Sawyer and I’m glad you’ve been doing some better, that makes us all very happy too. Cute poem! Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
I’ve gotten more cards than my peeps too! I’m glad Sawyer is doing better. ~Ernie
I’m happy you have received so many Christmas cards and the kitties always get more than the peeps. As it should be.
Way to go Sawyer. You’re doing so well. You’re so handsome too.
Love the poem. You made me laugh out loud.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Scritches to all the kitties and a hug to mom. ♥
Dear Sawyer,
That is the VERY best thankful!!! You are 100% A-ok in my book (um…I have a book?)
Love and whisker kisses,
Noelle
I am glad he doing good.
I am very happy Sawyer is doing well. Three weeks seems like a long time to be seizure-free.
Glad that our Sawyer boy remains BIG seizure free but even the small focals are “one too many”. The poem is fabulous – the look on that dog’s face really says it all. I don’t remember having to wear metal curlers but I remember the little rubber “spool” type rollers….Mom wound wind my hair around them and I’d have to sleep on those little lumps – but I always thought I looked silly with my “corkscrew curls” !!
Hugs, Pam
I love your poem this week!! It sure made me giggle! My mother used to say the same thing in Dutch to us,…and the commoner expression is no pain-no gain!
Its good to hear about Sawyer not having grandmal seizures. We will keep on pawyering for him.
Even though we mostly only send out E-cards, we have received lots of snail mail ones, too…and we thank you for yours!
