Feline Friday

Clockwise from the bottom right corner: Calista Jo, Raleigh, Kizmet (on cat tree), Sawyer (head behind cat tree), Audrey, Lisbeth & Cooper Murphy.
Rarely do we get all seven of the adult cats in the kitchen for a meal. As you can see, they all are eating except Cooper Murphy. He wolfed down his food and is plotting on which bowl he will try to invade.
The entire gang will be participating in the Feline Friday blog hop hosted by messymimi’s meanderings. To do the same, click on the badge below.
Friendly Fill-Ins
The Friendly Fill-Ins blog hop is hosted each Friday by Ellen (15 And Meowing) and Lorianne (Four-Legged Furballs). They publish the fill-in sentences on their blogs each Thursday. To participate in the hop, click on the badge at the left. Once again, Sawyer offered to help me out. He volunteered to fill in #4 with a very similar reply as his from last week. We used teal italics to complete the sentences. Any additional or explanatory information is in parentheses.
1. “What Child is This” is my favorite Christmas song.
2. A greeting card box made by Dad Tom’s sister, Bonnie, is a Christmas decoration that I treasure. (I actually leave it out all year long and put in it any cards we get at Christmas and throughout the year.)

3. Though ’tis the season for roasted chestnuts, I much prefer any other nut, except macadamia nuts. (I am highly allergic to those.)
4. Sawyer: If I could create a new Christmas tradition, it would be for me to get all the treats I can eat. (After all, I do need to gain weight.)
Update from Yesterday’s Kitten Update
They’re back!
I reported yesterday that the four kittens going up for adoption would be recuperating at the home of the Barn Cat Buddies’ president after their surgery and vaccines yesterday. They weren’t supposed to come back to us until Saturday, giving us a bit of a break. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. They came back to us right after their procedures.
I was delighted that I started my Christmas preparations early this year, and I was on track to get everything done in a leisurely and timely manner. That plan is dead! Everyday, I get a bit further behind. The Kitties Blue cards I ordered early (before Tali and Gibbs joined the KB crew) may still be waiting to be addressed when the New Year rolls around.
And just to add to the fun, we have our third snow event scheduled to arrive this morning.
Anyhoo, thanks for dropping in to see us. We’ll definitely be back tomorrow with some Caturday art.

We only have five cats, but they are always in the kitchen before me, waiting for breakfast.
I love the photo of all seven! As for being behind, you have good reason. If things get done late, so be it.
Thank you for linking up with Feline Friday, and talk about being behind…
I’ve never had roasted chestnuts. Wonder what they taste like. C.M. don’t be a bully and let the other kttties eat their food in peace!
Don’t worry about the cards…I didn’t have time to even start to do any this year!
Chaplin: “That is one busy diner you guys are operating! I like the seating option with a view, myself …”
WOW – the CATfeteria is definitely crowded but that just means it’s a yummy breakfast. Sorry you didn’t get your planned-for break from the little gang but soon things will calm down we’re sure as the little ones go to their forevers. The card box is adorable. We think lots of people have switched from “paper cards” in the mail to ecards as we’re getting lots of those and only TWO paper cards so far. Postage is sooooooooo high now! Anyway, Happy weekend to all……………
Love, Pam and Teddy
That is a great shot. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. That is a nice greeting card box. XO
Cards early, cards late…no matter, folks just love to hear from you all.
The card box is adorable.
And New Year’s cards are not unheard of at our house.
YAY! That’s amazing to get seven in one photo! I’m glad the kittens procedures went okay.
Lovely photo of them all eating together. Cooper Murphy being a typical ginger eating his food quickly so he can move on to the next dish!
kitty dinner pawty!!!
We LOVE that photo (although Noelle wishes she could see Sawyer’s sweet face!) Take your time decorating and doing cards, you’ve had lots of extra duties!
The Florida Furkids with love and whisker kisses to Sawyer from Noelle
We forgot to add we totally agree with #4!
Love the picture of the cats all chowing down except The one who is plotting an invasion, lol. Yikes on extra kitten chores and the snowfall!
