Thankful Thursday
We have oodles and oodles of thankfuls this week, so we are just going to list them:
- Mom got the stitches out of her ankle.
- Mom’s Sawyer injuries are healing well.
- Tabby Cat Club gave Sawyer a Welcome Home party.
- Periwinkle had a birthday party for Stinky for this week’s The Adventures of Periwinkle and Stinky at Friends Furever.
- Sawyer has been eating all his noms; though, they do have meds in them!
- Sawyer got to open his birthday gift from Noelle. He is enjoying napping on his nip-infused, lizard mat and dreaming of Noelle.
- Mom was one of three first commenters on the Tuesday Teaser at Two Spoiled Cats and got this badge.
Thankful Thursday is a blog hop hosted by our friend, Brian. If you’d like to participate, post on your blog for what you are thankful and then click on Brian’s badge.

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
I am trying to get back to my regular posting schedule and participation now that our little wanderer is home. So, I have written a poem for Teddy and Angel Sammy’s poetry challenge.
Here’s today’s inspiration photo: Trinity College Library in Ireland.
The Search
Finding the book I wanted took all day,
As I searched among so many displays.
Can you imagine it was shelved in the wrong place,
Requiring me rows and rows to pace?
It was a book I wasn’t allowed to check out
And when I found it the library was about to close.
I feared the next day I would have to search once more,
So I hid the book on a shelf near the front door.
Tomorrow I hope to have better luck
And have the opportunity to peruse my book.

Good to see Sawyer settling in, He looks very comfy! And a nice poem, too!
We’re so happy that Sawyer is home where he belongs and we’re thankful that mom and dad are at ease now. I know how stressful this was for them. I commend them for not giving up. We all love a happy ending.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Scritches all around and my best to your peeps. ♥
Sawyer,
My heart goes pitter pat when I see your handsomeness sleeping on the mat. I am so glad you like it!! It’s okay to share with your fursibs sometimes too.
So many wonderful thankfuls today and a great poem!!!
paw pats and headbonks,
Noelle
I missed the information that Sawyer had some wounds from his travels; good to read that he’s healing!
When I had bunion surgery while in my 20’s, I fainted when the doc took out the stitches!
So many things to be thankful for, And a great poem too.
First of all – that’s quite a list of thankfuls but then when your wanderer came home there was much to be thankful for! We do love your poem too – it’s PERFECT for the photo. That photo of Sawyer says it all……..THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE HOME (even a library!).
Hugs, Teddy
It was fun sharing the firstie commenters lineup this past Tuesday!
Glad your ouchies from Sawyer are healing up. Cat scratches/bites can be horrible. Hubby had to get antibiotics a few times when he was bitten by Minko.
I like your poem, I fear I would get lost in that vast place, and so lost that I would get locked in when they close for the day…
We were at that great birthday party Noelle threw for the wandering boy and today we got to the Tabby Cat Club for his welcome home party. He is a well loved kitty. That’s a fact. Great poem and congrats on your Firstie success
