Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
It is Thursday again, which means I have attempted to write some poetry. Each week, our dear friends, Teddy and Angel Sammy (Two Spoiled Cats) provide an inspiration photo as a jumping off place for creating a poem.
Here’s this week’s photo followed by my poem.

At the End of the Road
Living in a space ship is lots of fun
with windows all around
and a circle in which to run.
The cats think its dandy!
For bird and squirrel watching,
they find in quite handy.
Passers-by are always amused.
We see them laughing, and
they must consider us fools.
What others think doesn’t matter,
this home is our dream come true—
even if we must climb a ladder
to enter our unusual abode—
we live here in peace and happiness
at the end of the road.

Each week Angel Sammy transmits his poem from the Rainbow Bridge to Teddy for publication. Kitties Blue and I think Sammy is a particularly excellent poet, which is why we always suggest you head over to Two Spoiled Cats to read his weekly contribution. You can get there by clicking on the poetry badge. While there, check out the inspiration photo for next week and join us then in writing a poem.
Thankful Thursday
Some week’s are more challenging than others, and it is difficult to find anything meaningful for which the kitties, Dad Tom and I can give thanks. I particularly had a few days that left a lot to be desired, but I will not bore you with those details.
Dad Tom and I are grateful that Sawyer’s new transdermal phenobarbital meds have arrived, and we have successfully applied them twice. Of course, treats are involved, which may mean we’ll have a chubby boy on our hands in the not too distant future.
I did have the opportunity to have lunch with my friend, Mary Jane, on Monday. I am always thankful when I can spend time with friends.

Kitties Blue are thankful that today is International Box Day. Actually, they are grateful for boxes every single day, which means they are also thankful for Amazon, as Kizmet demonstrates.

As always we are thankful for those of you who visit, comment and participate in our Sunday Selfies blog hop. With regards to last Sunday’s hop, Dad Tom is thankful to all who sent him wishes for a happy Father’s Day.
And, of course, thanks for visiting us today.
We will be participating in the Thankful Thursday blog hop over at Brian’s Home Forever. To join us there, click on the Thankful badge below.

Charlee: “If we sits, we fits!”
Fun poem and I am glad Sawyer’s meds come in a transdermal form. XO
Your poem is just right. The person who built this and lives in it loves it and that’s all that matters.
Some weeks it’s very hard but there are always thankful things, it’s amazing how many you came up with in even a tough week. You’re in my heart and prayers.
That was a really good poem for that strange house. Good thankfuls too, I hope the new meds work well. Thanks for joining Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Terrific poem, and I’d like to live there!
Happy Box Day.
That’s a sweet and happy take on the poem. We’ve got lots of boxes your kitties can have! I keep making Saturday trips to the recycle place with them. I’m sorry your week hasn’t been great. Mine’s not been any better…hoping for a better week coming up!
Great poem for a fun looking house. We’re glad the meds came for Sawyer and are purring and praying that they keep him from having seizures. (Mom says to tell you that both Angels Tamir and Ellie got fabulously silky furs when they were on the transdermal meds)

Great poem today, and I love the photo of Kizmet.
A fun picture and your poem describes it well! Love the picture of Kizmet in the box … She looks very serious there!
That is a great poem. That is a sweet photo of Kizmet in the box. I didn’t realise it was International Box Day so just did a quick search on my dashboard and got the first one we did in 2009 for tomorrow’s flashback.
