Feline Friday

This is a typical day at the House of Blue Cats. If it is not the kittens treating me like furniture, then it is Kizmet or Calista Jo (who has taken over my lap as I write this post).
The kittens, Gibbs and Tali, will be participating in the Feline Friday blog hop hosted by messymimi’s meanderings. To do the same, click on the badge below.
Another Heartbreaking Good-Bye
Mom Ellen and Dad David’s beautiful and sweet Penny (15AndMeowing) was helped to the Rainbow Bridge on Thursday as the result of failing health.

Kitties Blue and I are sending Ellen and David all our love and hugs as they grieve the devastating loss of their beautiful tortie girl.
Friendly Fill-Ins
The Friendly Fill-Ins blog hop is hosted each Friday by Ellen (15 And Meowing) and Lorianne (Four-Legged Furballs). They publish the fill-in sentences on their blogs each Thursday. To participate in the hop, click on the badge at the left. I completed three of the fill-ins this week. Stinky and I both did #1. Stinky also completed #2. We used teal italics to fill in the blanks.
1. I know I am having a good day when I am laughing.
1. Stinky: I know I am having a good day when I am adventuring with Periwinkle.
2. Stinky: I am happy when I am with Periwinkle.
3. Not being able to button my clothes makes me feel helpless.
4. I have a lot of confidence in my ability to write and edit.
Thanks for visiting us today. If you have the opportunity, please visit Ellen and David and leave your condolences.

My pups are heaters when the temp drops during the night. The “littles” can both fit along one side and Lucy along the other. Your poor hand(s). It must be very frustrating. I think maybe I’d move to pullovers and elastic waist pants!
Sweet photo. Thank you for posting Penny’s badge and for participating in the fill-ins. I enjoyed your answers, but I am sorry about the buttons. That must be frustrating. XO
We are warm blooded furniture and food servers, I think. Thanks for linking your kittens to Feline Friday.
We’re all going to miss Penny and her tips, but mostly Penny.
I like your first answer!

They sure love you! Yes, so very sad about dear Penny.
what a purrfect spot!
Charlee: “Seems like the perfect spot for the kitties to relax!”
Great photo! We do that too. Mom is more comfy that the chair!!! Periwinkle liked Stinky’s answers. She had a similar one. Noelle sends forever love to Angel Sawyer.
They are very photogenic.
So sad to read about Angel Penny.
Having cats on your lap is just about the bestest thing ever, other than a cat napping with you!
We were so sad to learn of Penny’s departure – we knew it was probably near but when it happens it’s always a sad surprise. We are all cat furniture to our “kids” – they firmly believe we are warm spots to spend some time – we give them pets and talk to them while they’re sitting/lying/lounging on us……it’s a SAFE place to land! Teddy likes to lie on my feet when I’m sitting – since he’s so huge it’s tough for him to jump up on my lap but he is a “foot sitter” and that’s sweet. Good job filling in the blanks too!! Happy Friday.
Hugs, Pam
I miss the days of kitties using us as furniture…and the purring that went along with it.
So sad about sweet Penny. I made her a couple of mementos…
Very cute picture! I always feel flattered when a cat considers me comfortable enough to be a worthy sitting space! It’s very sad indeed about the loss of Penny. I left my sympathy message but I’ve found comments may not show right away on Ellen’s site.
