Friendly Fill-Ins: Week #111
This week, Kitties Blue have passed on helping with fill-ins, so I’m on my own. They collectively agreed that “treats” should be the fill-in for numbers two through four.
1. Fireworks used to impress me more when I was younger than they do now. In fairness to some great fireworks displays I have seen, those in our city are only mediocre.
2. My favorite 4th of July picnic food
is would be my homemade macaroni salad if we picnicked on the 4th.
3. I begin every day with opening the cat door to the catio, unless Dad Tom does it first.
4. Friendship is the best thing since sliced bread; though, friends probably existed long before anyone thought of slicing bread prior to selling it.
p.s. My new cat ears were a gift from Pam. Aren’t they spectacular!
Friendly Fill-Ins is a blog hop, currently being hosted by Ellen from 15 And Meowing and Lorianne from Four-Legged Furballs. The sentences to fill-in can be found on both blogs each Thursday. The hop takes place at Four-Legged Furballs on Friday. Click on the badge above to go there.
Customizable Cat Sock Giveaway
Today is day four of our special giveaway for ten pairs of cute and comfy, customizable cat socks from OurSock.com.
Our second winner has declined their prize, so a new winner was selected using Random.org. The new winners are Pipo and Mom Ingrid from Meezer’s Mews and Terrieristical Woofs. Congratulations.
Our third winner was selected, from those leaving comments on yesterday’s post. Random.org selected Teddy and Mom Pam from Two Spoiled Cats. Now, that’s what I call serendipity!
You still have seven additional opportunities to win by leaving a comment on this post and the following six.
This is a photo of Mom’s socks, featuring Mau. Winners will be able to select pink or blue socks and which of their kitties they’d like to immortalize.
To find out more about the giveaway visit the original post, Toesy Tuesday Giveaway.
Hooray! Pipo will be a furmouse sock kitty, MOL!!
Thanks so much!
I love those kitty ears, and at first I didn’t even see them MOL!!
The Pipo’d socks have arrived! Hooray!
Mom is sooooo jealous!! Mom loves macaroni salad but hasn’t had it in years. We watch the Macy’s 4th of July fireworks every year.
The Florida Furkids with tons of smoochies and love to Mau from Allie
Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I completely agree with #4. How fun that you and Pam were able to get together. . Have a great weekend! XO
You look pawesome in those ears! We don’t like fireworks because they scare some floofy white cat. Mommy does like the fireworks at Disneyland and that’s it.
Congrats to the winners of the socks! We’re still crossing paws!
Love those cat ears you got from your friend!!
Opening the cat door first thing … sounds like you have the proper priorities!
How pawsome that you got to have lunch with Teddy’s mom! You’re so right…friendship is the best. 🙂
I start each day by scooping the litter boxes! A habit started when Chuck first showed urinary tract problems, then his constipation. By doing it first thing, it’s a habit and the cats like the routine. I’m only half-awake…
We enjoyed your answers and that wonderful photo too!
That is a lovely photo of you and Pam.
I love your answers to the fill-ins and how fun to have lunch with another blogging friend. I love doing that.
Congratulations to the winners of those great socks.
Have a fabulous day and weekend. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥
Those are great cat ears, and even better because they were a gift from a friend! I don’t enjoy fireworks as much as I used to either. They’re fun for the humans, but I worry about how much they scare the animals. 🙂
I must say those are all great answers! I begin my day by feeding seven hungry mouths! LOL! Cute cat ears indeed. Friendship is wonderful. I went back home and spent time with my best friend of 61 years! 😀
YAY for our Moms and Dads having lunch together yesterday! Congratulations to Miss Ingrid for winning some socks AND thanks for sharing your fill-ins and Mom says your #4 is RIGHT – friendship is the BEST!
How fun that you got to see Teddy’s human! BTW, my human says you HAVE to post the macaroni salad recipe. She loves macaroni salad and loves hearing about everyone’s versions.
