We are celebrating this new “holiday” today. It was established by Bacon from PigLove. The beautiful badge was designed by Sammy and Mom Pam at onespoiledcat.
The plan is for this to be a day to show our love for all our anipal friends regardless of species.
We spent a lot of kitty brain cells trying to decide how we wanted to celebrate. We have made so many wonderful friends in the 3 1/2 years we’ve been blogging. Should we honor some new friends, some old friends, or maybe those who have been of great help and support to us as we established our blog? Should we honor a certain group? Maybe those friends who are now angels should be highlighted. Or what about the few who are honorary Kitties Blue: Angel Nylablue, Bailey Boat Cat and Swizzle, our sponsored cat at PAWS? Should we honor them?
Or what about our friends who are currently battling various illnesses and need our purrs, prayers and POTP?
Finally, we decided it would be impossible, and defeat the purpose of the day, to single out any one group. And it would be just as difficult to list all our wonderful and special anipal friends. So we are just going to say,
“We love each of you. We appreciate you allowing us to come into your lives. But most of all we are thankful for the support, friendship and love you have shown us during these past 3 1/2 years.”
One thing is certain: We know that all anipals, including the human ones, are special and impawtant and deserve our respect, love, support and care.

I love this idea but would have the same dilemma as you. We couldn’t single out any one or several friends. We have met so many and love them all.
