Feline/Friendship Friday
Yesterday was the annual roundup when Kitties Blue have their annual exams and vaccines. Though our wonderful vet, Dr. Neel, has officially retired, she is actually still working some. So she and vet tech, Whitney, came to the house to check out the Kitties Blue crew.
This is not our roundup report. I’ll do that another day. But I am sharing a photo of Astrid and Whitney for the blog hops at Comedy Plus and Create With Joy.
It took Dad Tom and I a very, very long time to corral Astrid and get her sequestered in the kitchen. She thought if she hid her head, she could block out the entire ordeal.

Friendly Fill-Ins: Week #256
Friday again, which means it is time for those fill-ins hosted by Ellen from 15 And Meowing and Lorianne from Four-Legged Furballs. Kitties Blue bailed this week claiming these were not cat-friendly fill-ins, and I do agree, so I was on my own to complete them. As I always do, I’ve used teal italics for my fill-ins.
1. “Angie’s Recipes” is a non-cat related blog I follow.
2. My favorite place to shop online for garden bulbs is White Flower Farm.
3. Working in the garden has been keeping me busy lately.
4. If I could go back in time, I would tell my younger self to not be so shy and try harder to make friends.
Ellen and Lorianne both post the sentences to be filled in on their blogs on Thursdays. Friendly Fill-Ins is a blog hop. To participate, click on the above badge.
Thanks for coming to visit us today. We’ll be back tomorrow with Caturday Art.
Sweet Astrid. I hope her checkup went well.
The only one I know who likes to go to the vets (or have the vet come to the house) is my sister Lucy. She’s weird. XOX Xena
Thank you for stopping by and saying hello – it’s so nice to make new furrends. We were blogging for a few years starting in 2006 but have been absent for a long time, so we made this new blog. (In fact, two of us are so old we adopted a real Squillion that the virtual ones are based on. He may need to blog too!) You have such an adorable family and we will certainly be back lots, especially on Sunday. Purrs!
Aww – so sweet. Marty does the same thing at the vet. It’s the only time he lets the mom hold him, but to see him at the vet you’d think he loves her. He doesn’t want anyone knowing this, okay?
Mew mew mew Astrid that iss what ‘angel’ Aunty NYLABLUE used to due when shee went to THE Vet’ss!!
Iss so cute to see you due THE same thing!
**purrss** BellaDharma an ((huggiess)) LadyMew
Astrid, that’s pretty much the same thing I do when I go to the vet. ~Ernie
We wish we could have a home visit. Astrid next time sing our loud like I do. It doesn’t help but it gives you a chance to be heard! Great fill ins
Poor Astrid… We hope everything went well ! Purrs
I wish we had a vet that came to the house, you are so blessed. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I would love to order some bulbs, but everything gets eaten by voles except daffodils. Have a nice weekend. XO
Our Celestial Chuck would climb up inside my coat, in an effort to avoid the vet as we stood in the exam room.
Da Boyz went everywhere; up on the counter, into the trash bin, knocked over the dog biscuit jar, and tried to flick the light-switch…goof balls!
Those were really good answers and we’re glad your favorite Vet was still available!
So hiding your head doesn’t work? Such an adorable photograph. I’m glad you got all the kitties tended to. That’s so wonderful that you don’t have to do the carrier/car thing. The kitties appreciate that.
Love your fill-ins and especially #4. We all have things we wish we had done differently.
Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. Scritches all around and a hug to mom. ♥
We’re glad Dr. Neel still comes for Round-up! Astrid doesn’t seem to be that glad though.

Oh Astrid……Angel Sammy would do that “head hide” all the way to the vet in the car…he knew what was coming. When we’d get there, same thing…..Some cats need that “safe place” more than others! Hope the roundup was successful for everyone……
Hugs, Pam
Aww. Poor Astrid.
