Feline Friday
Yesterday, Audrey and Raleigh had their annual vet visit. Raleigh definitely did not want to go. We had a plan for catching him and getting him in the PTU, and it worked. Stupidly, we left him alone in the laundry room. He managed to open the zippers from the inside and escape. We did recapture him without too much trouble. I then secured the zippers from the outside making it escape proof.

I think it is obvious from the expression on his face that Raleigh was not a happy camper. He faced the wall when being weighed so he didn’t have to see the readout. Other than that, he was a purrfect gentleman.
Audrey was subdued and only complained quietly on the trip to the office.
Both are healthy; though, they are on the pudgy side. Audrey weighs in at 13.2 pounds and Raleigh at 14.8. When you read fill-in #4, you will find out why Audrey’s nicknames are Hoover, Sherman and Tank.
Raleigh and Audrey will be participating in the Feline Friday blog hop at messymimi’s meanderings. To do the same, click on the badge below.
Friendly Fill-Ins
The Friendly Fill-Ins blog hop is hosted each Friday by Ellen (15 And Meowing) and Lorianne (Four-Legged Furballs). They publish the fill-in sentences on their blogs each Thursday. To participate in the hop, click on the badge at the left. I had help from Audrey this week, which was a huge surprise. We both used teal italics for our fill-ins.
1. My November to do list includes/getting back to where I was with rehab before I fell and starting to put up Christmas garland.
2. I find the (almost every) song sung by Joe Cocker annoying.
3. Currently, I’m ahead on nothing but behind on rehabing my knee.
4. Audrey: I’m unbeatable at grabbing other kitties’ treats.
Thanks for visiting today. We will be back tomorrow with some Caturday Art.

I am glad the vet visit went well. Raleigh definitely does not look happy!
Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers except I am sorry about the set back with your knee. Good for you Audrey- you snooze, you lose. 🙂 XO
I’m glad the vet visit happened and went mostly well.
Audrey and Raleigh, no matter how many treats you grab or how much the vet may want you to cut down, I think you are perfect and thank you for linking up with Feline Friday.
Good check-ups are pawsome. At least Raleigh wasn’t a PTU pooper even though he does not look happy. Mom agrees about Joe Cocker.

Chaplin: “I sympathize with Audrey and Raleigh. I had to go to the vet yesterday too. I had a black thing on my nose for days and days that was getting bigger and Mama and Dada were worried that it was some kind of growth, but it turned out to be a scab and it fell off in the car on the way to the vet, so I went there for nothing.”
Charlee: “Well, not nothing. Mama still had to pay for an office visit.”
Chaplin: “Serves her right for bringing me to the vet!”
The only time vet visits were ever fun was when I took Riley to his favorite vet place. He wagged and was happy the whole time he was there. Now, the car ride there and back was a different story. I’m glad that, although a bit chubby, Audrey and Raleigh got a clean bill of health. Hmmm, I love Joe Cocker’s song, “You Are So Beautiful to Me.” I can’t think of a song just right off that I hate, but I’m sure there ARE some, LOL! Have a great weekend.
Audrey and Raleigh, we think the vet was rude to mention your weights!
Don’t ever go back there again.
I’m with you on the Joe Cocker!
I’m glad they had a good checkup, and I hope your knee is better soon.
Glad for good check-ups. Nobody LIKES going to the vet or the people-doctor but it’s a necessary evil to keep in shape!
Hugs, Pam and Teddy
