I wanted to use one of Dad Tom’s fireworks photos from the fourth and went in search of a quote to accompany it. This is what I found.

This quote reminded me of Bruce Springsteen’s song, “Glory Days” and how some people are satisfied spending their days reliving one “special” moment from the past and never striving for new accomplishments. I cannot count the number of times I have reinvented myself in an attempt to always be my best self. I may not always achieve my goals but am happy not to be stuck at some point in my past. No matter how old we are, new adventures and opportunities to accomplish something exceptional are available each day.

Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend, Annie (McGuffy’s Reader). Annie currently is taking a well-deserved “break” from blogging, so there is no hop. However, many of us are continuing to post a Spark on Monday, as we totally agree with Annie’s vision: “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!”

Wishing everyone a great day filled with new challenges and new accomplishments.

What a good fireworks picture!
And for sure I don’t want to get stuck somewhere way behind me…that was yesterday and today is where I am at right now…tomorrow? Yup, I want to be ready for that too.
That quote reminded me of the saying:
You can’t cry over spilled milk.

I try hard to not stay nor be, stagnant. Every day is new and a gift. Make it count. You will never have this opportunity again. Moments leave us like falling leaves. Reach out, take them and make a difference in a life.

I live for today too. The past is just that, the past. Those that dwell there never grow.

Have a fabulous day filled with wonderful Sparks. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥

This Spark is beautiful, both the words and the image. The message behind this is so profound, and I’m now feeling motivated to get to work on some personal projects I’ve had on the back burner.

Great spark and gorgeous photo to accompany it……I have to admit to being more and more “reflective” at my age with most of my life behind me instead of ahead of me. I think a lot about what I did, what I thought, and from this distance WHY I was who I was back then BUT I wouldn’t want to go back and re-do! I’m happy with HERE and now……but I am what I am because of THEN. I’ll go on sparking on Mondays too because I love starting the week out with a special thought!

Hugs, Pam
