Sparks
I have been feeling less than perky lately. I am frustrated by the slow progress on our addition and bored with blogging. And I am so over winter. I truly wish winter was finished with us. I knew I needed a Spark to raise me from these doldrums. This did help me, and if you are feeling as I am, I hope it helps you as well.
Cooper Murphy and Sawyer told me to add: Nap with enthusiasm (especially when the floor is heated).
Kris Kristofferson has always been one of my favorite actors and singers for his unique voice. He also wrote one of my all-time favorite songs, “Me and Bobby McGee.” It’s been recorded by many artists throughout the years. My favorite rendition is by Janis Joplin.
Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend, Annie (McGuffy’s Reader). Annie has been taking a “break” from blogging, so there is no hop. Unfortunately, during this break, Annie has been the victim of a hacker. This has continued to keep her off-line and caused her much distress. Kitties Blue and I ask for your continued prayers for Annie and her family as they try to reconcile this mess and get their lives back to normal.
Many of us still continue to post a Spark on Monday, as we believe in Annie’s vision: “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!”
Awww Mondays
Cooper Murphy and Sawyer also are joining the blog hop over at Comedy Plus. Click on the badge below to go there.
Don’t worry, Miz Janet. Spring is coming soon, and with it will come more sun puddles and flowers and open windows. Soft paws. Spring is coming soon.
We’re feeling pretty blue these days too…so it’s always good to see uplifting Sparks like this.
I’ve been “blah-ing” for months now. Writing a post is like pulling teeth. And now I’m sick! It happens to all of us. Our cats keep it interesting.
“Nap With Enthusiasm” is the best thing I’ve read in a long time!
Mom….look it’s CooperMurphy. Isn’t he handsome? What a guy. Let’s get a heated floor. It’s way colder here.
What a great SPARK. We too like Kris Kristofferson. He was a great song writer. When I think of “Me and Bobby McGee”, I think of “Sunday Morning Coming Down.” I wonder if Kris wrote that song too. I looked it up….yep, Kris wrote that one too.
Tyebe and Jean
Wonderul spark – definitely helps with the doldrums – spring will come, hopefully – MOL!
I didn’t know that Kris Kristofferson wrote that song!
Cooper Murphy and Sawyer, is there room for me to join you? It’s so windy and cold here; I need a heated floor too!
Love the Spark and I love their addition. I agree.
Cooper Murphy and Sawyer are my two favorite kitties that reside at you house. Just saying.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect day you two. My best to your bored mom. ♥
We like your Spark. We know how frustrating it has to be with the addition taking so long but it will be worth it when it is done!!
The Florida Furkids with tons of smoochies and love to Mau from Allie and extra special purrs and healing vibes and paw pats to Sawyer from Noelle
Great spark. I hope your mood lifts soon , this time of year is tough.
You kitties are so lucky to have a heated floor. XO
Sorry to hear the addition is still coming along so slowly. We hate to hear that you’re feeling down. Hopefully winter is coming to a close soon! We are sending all our love to you, Mom Janet, and purring lots that you’ll get to feeling more “perky.” Sampy sends 239847562834765293847 kisses to Astrid as well.
P.S. Bobby’s student rock band group that he teaches played Janis Joplin’s “Me and Bobby McGhee” a couple years ago. The girl who was singing for the group has a soulful voice and did a great job with it. It was a fun tune!

We really enjoyed and liked your spark.
That really is a great Spark. We’ve been so frustrated with monsoon season, rain for 13 days, but the sun came out, we made it away from the dark side.
Love that Spark and especially love that picture! We just returned from 10 days in Florida with friends and family and I can honestly say I didn’t want to come home — except I couldn’t stay away from my furbabies any longer! I’m just grateful that we haven’t had enough snow here to speak of. Hope things pick up for you soon!
That’s a great spark……we’ve had it with winter and cold and rain and snow and ice and mud too….best to just look forward and pretend this winter never happened! Enjoy that heated floor Coop and Sawyer. Looks nice!
Hugs, Teddy
