Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
Each week we look forward to joining our friends, Teddy and Angel Sammy, for their poetry day. They provide an inspiration photo to fuel our imaginations. Here’s this week’s photo.
Though this looks like fun and I am an excellent swimmer, I think I would be panicked like the young girl in the front of the raft. That feeling is the basis for the haiku I wrote.
Wonder what I would do
If I was part of this crew?
Bail before the trip!
If you’d like to participate on Thoroughly Poetic Thursday, check out Two Spoiled Cats (click on the badge below) today for next week’s inspiration photo. While you are there check out the poem Sammy will have transmitted from the Rainbow Bridge. I guarantee it will be a masterpiece.
Thankful Thursday
Kitties Blue and I also like to tell you for what we are thankful each week and join Brian’s Thankful Thursday blog hop.
This week, we are delighted to win the brand new “First Commenter” badge on the Tuesday Teaser at Two Spoiled Cats. What’s even more special is that we are the ONLY ones to receive it. We also got a “Right Guesser” badge. We weren’t first to guess correctly. That honor went to Timmy Tomcat, but nonetheless we knew the locale.
Dad Tom and I are both thankful that our construction project is back on track after another delay. Two weeks ago the contractor discovered the elevations did not match from the house to the addition. The new living quarters had to be removed from the garage below, jacked up two inches and reattached. Yikes!
We do have another thankful with regard to the construction. Yesterday I found an exact match to our antique pocket door hardware on eBay. As our house is 105 years old, this was an amazing find. Not only does it match, but it’s not reproduction!
Every single day, Kitties Blue and I are grateful for the friendship and support of our fellow bloggers. Thank you!
Thankful Thursday is a blog hop hosted by everyone’s pal, Brian. To join the hop, post on your blog for what you are thankful and then click on Brian’s badge.
Concats on your double win! I missed the challenge completely…sigh…
Oh, I am glad your project is getting to where it should be, and how pawspme that you found just the right kind of door hardware – Score!
MOL, funny haiku!
Congrats on the badges! They are pretty pawsome!
yikes on the construction boo boo ~ sounds like they can fix it though, which is good!
and WOOOHOOOO on the pocket door find! ebay does offer surprises sometimes
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
Great haiku. Congrats on those badges and your ebay find.
We saw you were first. You’re quick! Congrats!
Cool badges. Hopefully we can get one of those someday.
You did a great job being first commenter thanks fur the shout out for our right guess in Teddy and Angel Sammys Tuesday Teaser. Dad says he may bail on the sail too MOL
Dad redid our house and had been in construction years ago. That is a big job to jack up a floor but it ends up being so much nicer than having a step up. Unless you want the extra height like we had for our cat walk in our old upstairs digs. Purrs
We love the haiku and totally agree!! Pawsome badges!!
The Florida Furkids with smoochies and love to Mau from Allie and paw pats and headbonks to Sawyer from Noelle.
White water rafting? NOPE! Heck, I don’t even want to go on a luxury cruise liner either! I am definitely NOT allowing The Hubby to read about your construction delays, ’cause I want some stuff done around the house that we’ll have to hire someone to do. He thinks that HE can handle everything, but no way am I allowing him to…hehehe!
Congratulations on your two badges this week. That rocks.
Way to go on the pocket door. We have two in our home and I love them.
I’m thankful that I found you and your kitties. You bring me such joy.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥
Those are really great thankfuls and a darn cool little poem too! Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
That’s a brilliant haiku and certainly reflects MY thoughts on that photo too! NO THANK YOU! HAHAHA Concatulations from me AND Teddy on getting two Teaser badges this week. You were the FIRST to get that new FIRST COMMENTER badge too! So happy the construction project is on track again AND that you found the right pocket door hardware – that is what GOOD LUCK is all about!
Hugs, Pam (with Teddy’s snoopervision)
