Sunday Selfies: Week #69
This is our most beautiful, PAWS (Pet Animal Welfare Society) of Connecticut, honorary Kitty Blue, Swizzle. We have featured her here often, and she is this week’s guest host for Sunday Selfies.
We have been sponsoring Swizzle for more than a year and a half, and she’d really like to have a loving and forever home in time to celebrate Christmas. Can’t you just see her lying under your tree waiting for Santa Paws to visit? What a wonderful Christmas that would make.
You may have seen Swizzle on the Animal Shelter Volunteer Life blog as well. Kevin (meowmeowmans) and Tracey are volunteers at PAWS and have shared her on their blog. The photos above were taken by Kevin. Kitties Blue and I are grateful that Kevin and Tracey visit Swizzle often and, along with other volunteers, give her lots of love. But we believe in our hearts that it is her turn to have the life she deserves in a loving home.
Swizzle was originally adopted from PAWS with her sister, who unfortunately has crossed the Bridge. She was returned to PAWS when her owner had to move to a “no-pets allowed” home. You can read my original post here. You can also visit her on the PAWS website.
Swizzle’s original information stated she was six years old. In reality she is about 11 1/2 years old, which Kevin confirmed in an e-mail to me this evening. I know this lessens her chances of finding a home, but if you have been thinking about adopting a senior kitty, please consider Swizzle. If you cannot provide her with a home, please share wherever you can and tell your friends about her.
Now it’s time for you to add your selfie to the blog hop. We know everyone is very busy with holiday preparations, but it only takes a minute or two to snap your photo. We are truly grateful to all of you who join us each week and always enjoy seeing what you have to offer. Last week besides the usual kitties and woofies and our Canadian donkey guest host, we were joined by a kangaroo, ponies and some ibex.
You can add your link below as well as get the code to post the hop on your blog. If you’d like to do this, I only ask that you display our Sunday Selfies badge and/or link to The Cat on My Head.
We could not agree more – sweet Swizzle needs her forever family!
we are visiting as many as we can Woohooooop
I have a soft spot for senior kitties like Swizzle. The love they have to give is truly amazing, and we get to skip some of the kitten nonsense when we take them home. Win-win!

Swizzle is such a beauty who has been waiting far too long for a forever home. Purrs that it happens this Christmas. And thank you for taking her into your virtual hearts!
Oh Swizzle I hope you find a forever home.
Swizzle is a pretty girl. We purray she finds a furever home, but in the meantime we are glad she is safe and warm and fed–PAWS & Kevin & Tracey are angels for these kitties!
We sure hope Swizzle finds a most loving and pawrfect new home, furevfur!!
We had to delve into our archives on account of that our confuser kind of conked out and needed to be left at the confuser hospital…now we cannot make images to send or make our Christmas cards, either…so we will have to send store bought ones…sigh…but at least we can still communicate after a fashion:))
Poor Swizzle, that’s so sad. We hope she finds a forever home very soon. Purrs
I hope Swizzle finds the perfect home. If it’s the right human-animal bond, being 11 years old won’t matter at all. We adopted Sammi when she was 10 years old and just had a leg amputated. Older pets are wonderful and you know their personality.
She’s just beautiful,xx Speedy
We have our paws crossed that Swizzle finds her furr-ever home this Christmas!!!
Swizzle we are sending purrs and prayers a plenty to help you find your loving forever home. You look just like our Buddy Budd and we know you have as much love in your heart as our big Blue.
Timmy , Dad and Family
I will be sharing Swizzle later today when Mom L gets outta be and to our laptop. Your holiday blog decor is very nice…paw hugs
Mom reblogged Swizzle’s story on her photo blog (the link is through the Brother’s Selfie). We hope and pray Swizzle finds a home soon.
We finally made it again. Been a long time.
Swizzle is such a pretty kitty. We so hope she gets a home soon!
Oh, Swizzle, you are as cute and sweet as ever. We are praying with all our might that you get the furever home you so very much deserve. Purrs to you, Swizzle, and to all kitties out there in need of their furever homes!
We just can’t believe that Swizzle hasn’t been adopted yet. We hope that someone will welcome her into their family before Christmas – she more than deserves it. She has been waiting so patiently. We also are featuring an adoptable kitty for Sunday Selfies today.
Sampy sends a kiss to Astrid for every adoptable kitty in the world, and we all send lots of love!
Swizzle is such a beautiful girl! How sad she had to be returned to the shelter. Our paws are crossed that she finds a wonderful home soon.
She is beautiful, I pray she gets a forever home for Christmas.
We sure hope that sweet Swizzle will find a new foreverhome real soon !!
XOXO
Swizzle is such a beauty…love those yellow eyes! We will share her and hope she finds her home very soon. We think 11 is not so old for a cat, she could have many, many years left and seniors make such wonderful pets.
We sure hope Swizzle finds her forever home.
Swizzle is a pretty kitty, and we hope that she finds a wonderful home in time for Christmas! It makes me sad that being a senior makes a cat less adoptable in most people’s eyes. Seniors are precious and wonderful! We will share her on our Pinterest board for adoptable kitties. 🙂
I am having trouble with my desktop. The Tech cannot get here until Tuesday. I hope to be back later to link…if I can find a picture worth posting. *sigh* Computer glitches really can ruin plans.
Hugs. XO.
That is beautiful sweet Swizzle. We sure hope you get your wish soon sweetie.
We can’t believe Swizzle has been waiting this long for her furever home. We purr that she finds it soon. In the meantime, we’re so glad she’s at a shelter like PAWS.
I remember Swizzle so well. My heart breaks for her and the other cats waiting and waiting BUT….with loving volunteers such as Kevin and Tracey, the wait for a home whoe there at the Shelter is made so much better. They get loves, petting and time in a lap and some kisses. I am so grateful for the volunteers, especially Kevin and Tracy who try so hard to get these babies a home.
We hope Swizzle finds her forever home soon. That would be the best Christmas present ever for her and her new family.
Swizzle is so pretty! Hopefully someone will adopt her soon!
We can’t believe beautiful Swizzle still doesn’t have a forever home. We’ll purr louder and harder for her.
The Florida Furkids with special smoochies and love to Mau from Allie
Swizzle U are looking so beautiful! KB did a fine job of enhancing your assets! Sending you purrs and wishes for success!
Swizzle is much loved at PAWS. Thank you for sponsoring and continuing to feature her. I don’t know why Swizzle has been overlooked by adopters for so long.
xxoo
Swizzle needs a home soonest! Will share! xoxox
Poor Swizzle. How terrible to lose your cat sibling and then your humans dump you off. Hope she finds a home.
It would be wonderful if your honorary KB Kitty Miss Swizzle had a happy, secure and forever home for Christmas. Let’s hope the spirit of Christmas touches someone’s heart and they bring her HOME for Christmas………..
Love, Sammy
The header almost made us cry, KittiesBlue. We wish a furrever home for Christmas for Swizzle…and all the other kitties. No-one should be alone with Christmas. Extra Good Luck Pawkisses and purrayers for you Swizzle <3 <3 <3
Swizzle is lovely! I hope she can get her forever home for the best Christmas ever.
Such a shame. We really hope she gets her Christmas wish. She deserves it.
We have shared 🙂
Purrs xx
Athena and Marie
Thank you for sponsoring a cat in need. I hope she’ll find her forever home soon.
(… and I really hope that her former owner feels very bad about this. It makes me angry that people give their pets so easily away. I don’t know the very story of this human, but you just don’t move to a flat without making sure your pets can be with you. And if you really don’t have any choice, find a new family for yout cat!)
We had better get ourselves organised!
She is a beauty. I hope she finds her forever home in time for Christmas.
What a lovely kitteh Swizzle is! We hope she finds her furever home, soon. How thoughtful of you kittehz to sponsor her.
XOXO
Thank you for sponsoring our sweet pal Swizzle, for loving her, and for featuring her so often on your wonderful blog. She really is a great kitty, and we love her very much. We’re always sure to spend some special time with her (in fact we did so today). We, too, are purring and praying for a home for the holidays for Swizzle. Much love to you all, dear friends. We appreciate you so, so much.
Oh, we SO hope Swizzle finds a Home for Catmas!!! Mommy has a HUGE soft spot for gray kitties…she got a little teary reading today’s post.
