Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
Thoroughly Poetic Thursday is hosted by our good friends, Teddy and Angel Sammy (Two Spoiled Cats). Each Thursday they post an inspiration photo for the following week’s poem. Angel Sammy writes a masterpiece every week and transmits it from the Rainbow Bridge to Teddy. Participants post a link to their poem or the entire poem in the Comments area on the boys’ post. To visit, click on the badge at the left.
Here is this week’s photo and my poem.
Waiting for the Thaw
These boats are stuck until spring
Whoever left them wasn’t thinking
Or did that snow and ice come as a surprise—
Materialize suddenly right before their eyes
Making the boaters depart en masse
To avoid being stuck in a morass
Of frigid water and ice with no way out
Even if they raised their voices in a shout
Now all the boaters are warm and dry
And on an early thaw will need to rely
For without an imminent unfreezing
They can’t retrieve their boats for next season

Thankful Thursday
Kitties Blue and I are thankful for all who entered the Sunday Selfies blog hop. It was the best participation we have had in a while. We truly do appreciate all of you who enter and leave comments on the weekly post.
We also are thankful for those who visited on Tuesday to read Part IX of “The Adventures of Periwinkle and Stinky.” They visited Santa at the North Pole and posted suggestions for Christmas gifts for both kitties and humans. If you missed the post, click on the link above.
I am grateful for picking up another badge on the Tuesday Teaser, also at Two Spoiled Cats. Mom Sharon, from our extended family at Friends Furever, and I were the First Commenters and got this badge.
Each and everyday Kitties Blue and I are thankful for all of you: our readers, supporters, followers and friends.
Thankful Thursday is a blog hop hosted by Brian. To participate post on your blog for what you are thankful and then click on the badge below. That will whisk you to Brian’s where you can enter your link.

We hope the thaw comes sooner than later. Great poem!
We enjoyed your poem but those boats are way to cold for me! Those were nice thankfuls and we’re glad the last Sunday Selfies Blog Hop went well, we always look forward to it. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
The steam or fog rising from the water/ice is just amazing, captured in the light from a sunrise.
I’m thankful that I quite lurking here and introduces myself to you and your kitties. I’ve found such joy here.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday, Janet. Big hug to you and lots of lovies and scritches to all the kitties. ♥

Great poem today. The photo fits well with the season.
Super poem as usual!! It looks so cold in that photo and I’m sure when those boats see the sun shining they wish it would thaw things out so they could do what they’re MEANT to do – have fun in the water. Thanks for always playing along with our Poetry Challenge – it’s wonderful reading the work of our creative poets!!!
Love, Teddy
We LOVE the Sunday Selfies!
And we are thankful that you continue to be the hosts for that feature each week.
I feel cold, now, after reading that poem, MOL!
