Friendly Fill-Ins: Week #258
Friday again, which means it is time for those fill-ins hosted by Ellen from 15 And Meowing and Lorianne from Four-Legged Furballs. Kitties Blue kindly did three of the fill-ins this week, leaving me with the easiest one. As we always do, the kitties and I used teal italics for our fill-ins.
1. Sawyer: My day is not complete until I get treats.
2. Cooper Murphy: It is time to wish my beautiful girlfriend Tyebe (The Canadian Cats) a happy Gotcha Day.
3. Sawyer: When Kizmet joined the family and we became friends, it made me change my mind about trying to make friends with Calista Jo.
4. I simply refuse to pay retail for anything!
Friendly Fill-ins is a blog hop. You can find the sentences to be filled in on Ellen and Lorianne’s blogs on Thursdays. Click on the badge below to join the hop.
Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
I missed writing a poem yesterday for Angel Sammy and Teddy’s (Two Spoiled Cats) poetry challenge due to my review of Destiny’s Children. So, I have the inspiration photo and my poem today.
QWERTY
Tippity, tappity, click, click, clack!
That’s the noise from this gigantic typing class.
Learning to type to become employable—
None would say the experience is enjoyable.
Being a secretary is preferable to being a waitress
Or a grease monkey cleaning windshields and pumping gas.
Though the typing instruments may have changed,
These skills are now even more important to attain.
Almost every job in 2021 requires computer usage
Without that ability the desired job may remain elusive!

If you’d like to try writing some poetry, check out Teddy and Angel Sammy’s Thursday post each week to find the inspiration photo for the following Thursday. And while visiting, take the time to read Sammy’s poem. He’s a master poet. To hop on over to Two Spoiled Cats right now, click on the poetry badge.
Apologies
Kitties Blue and I send our apologies to Brian’s Home, Comedy Plus and Create With Joy as we are not entering the Thankful Thursday, Feline Friday or Friendship Friday blog hops this week. We’ll be back to a regular schedule next week.
Awsome article and straight to the point. I don’t know if this is in fact the best place to ask but do you guys have any thoughts on where to get some professional writers? Thanks 🙂
We really understand how real life gets in the way of blogging! We too are behind this week! (yet again). First! Great card for Tybee! Cooper Murphy you are the best boyfriend! Second – The Friendly Fill-ins ROCK! We love them all! And QWERTY is a terrific poem! |And we LOVED your previous post about Destiny.
Happy Gotcha Day to Tyebe! TW won’t pay postage for anything she buys but she had to in one site where they had really cool head coverings.
Happy Gotcha Day to Tyebe! Thank you all for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I am with your mom on not paying retail. 🙂 Have a great weekend. XO
Happy birthday to Tybe!
That is a great poem. I never learned to type, but when I needed to type out invoices on the half day the vet I worked for was closed it was a one finger effort. Since computers I have definitely improved!
We didn’t realize it is Tyebe’s gotcha day. We’ll have to hop over and say hello.
Great poem, and so true. When I was learning to type in 7th grade my mom bought me a small portable typewriter to practice with. I used it for years!
Great fill ins and Dad will not pay full price either. Happy Gotcha Day Tyebe. Dad loves typing as learning to type with an old program “Mavis Bacon Teaches Typing” where cars with letter drove across the screen and other fun stuff helped him learn and that helped rehab his hand after his accident. Before that he was “hunt and peck” MOL.
Gosh, I recall taking typing class in high school, and how funny those old Selectric machines were!
I love to type, and my handwriting has gotten awful over the years.
” HURRAH fore Tyebe”
“HURRAH HURRAH!!!
It iss Tyebe’ss Gotcha Day!
Wee are so happy shee iss here
An Cooper Murphy shee iss yore ‘deer’!”
bye BellaDharma with **purrss** an ((huggiess)) LadyMew
Those were good answers and a Happy Gotcha Day to Tyebe!!!
Oh my….you remembered my Gotcha Day, Snap. Thank you my big orange snuggle bunny. I do love your card. It makes me feel special. Mom is planning something for me but won’t tell me what. Shoko won’t say mew about it so I just don’t know.
We loved the poem. Your mom’s poems are always so well done. I could hear all those typewriters clanging away by the way she described them.
Hugs and Whisker Kisses,
Tyebe
Happy Gotcha Day Tyebe and Many, Many, Many, More!!😻😻😻😻🎂🎂🎂🎂😻😻😻😻
Hope you get lots of treats and toys
Love your fill-ins.
♫♪Happy Gotcha Day to you,♪♫
♫♪Happy Gotcha Day to you,♪♫
♫♪Happy Gotcha Day Dear Tyebe,♪♫
♫♪Happy Gotcha Day to you!♪♫
The poem is perfect. I took typing class and I’m ever so glad that I did. I never wanted to be a secretary, but typing really helped my career.
Have a fabulous day and weekend. Scritches to all the kitties and a hug to mom. ♥
Raz says he’s with Sawyer on #1!!! All of your Fill-in answers were great. Your poem was too. Mom can “hear” those typewriters going!
Happy Gotcha Day to Tyebe!
The Florida Furkids with paw pats and headbonks to Sawyer from Noelle
That’s a perfect poem for the poetry challenge this week. People sure better learn to type unless they want to let “Siri” or one of those computer “people” do all the work for them and make all those typos when they don’t QUITE understand! LOL Anyway, I imagine that room full of typists made QUITE a racket! Love your fill-ins too – – we hope Cooper and Tyebe have a nice celebration of Tyebe’s GOTCHA.
Hugs, Teddy
