Caturday Art
I am not trying to say that Astrid is insincere, but rather that I made two versions of art today, featuring our tiny tortie. Astrid and I were snuggling at the time. Often in the morning, after I have opened the cat door to the catio but before I have permanently gotten up for the day, Astrid and I snuggle. She likes to burrow into my neck and knead me until I’m bloody. If I lie down for a rest in the afternoon, she often curls up on top of me.
I used Painnt to create both artistic images. They both feature the Silver Chips effect. I manipulated the color composition and coloring to achieve the two different effects. The first piece of art also employs a frame from Painnt. (And both show off her gorgeous collar, which was a gift from her wonderful husband, Sampy.)
PiZap was used to add the butterfly border in this second version. The solid borders were added with Picasa.
I usually do not post two pieces of art, but in this case I liked them both. Do you have a favorite? Let Astrid know in the comments.
Here’s the original photo of Astrid lying in my lap.

Sunday Selfies Reminder
Another week has flown by, making it time for you to snap a selfie and join our blog hop. We go live at 12:01 a.m. ET every Sunday. This will be week #205 of our popular hop. We’re delighted to report that we had a few more participants last week, and hope to see a big crowd again tomorrow.
Have a great Caturday!
I also have a hard time deciding! I love the collar in number two image, and I like that frame and colors of the first one…
Astrid, no matter how you are presented, you are lovely. XX
Well it is kind of a difficult decision – I love your artistic imagination and use of such a wide variety of colors but because I like all the colors of the first one best, that is what I chose for my favorite. The first one also shows Astrid’s pretty color the best too I think.
Mom Kim
We like both, Astrid! But if he have to choose, we’ll go with the first one — by a whisker!
Oh my goodness, it’s very hard to decide. I think I may be slightly more partial to the second photo, but you can’t go wrong with either.
By the way, I really enjoyed reading your fill-in answers, the kitties’ answers too. The pictures are really great.
I’ll pick the first but the original is cute too.
Wow! I mean…wow!
Need I say more?
Have a super Saturday…

They are both SO beautiful. Of course, she’s a work of art anyways…she is a tortie, after all!
They are both good but the first is better, I think.
They’re both lovely, but we think we like the first one, too! Very cool effect!
These are both beautiful. I like the first one best with the frame. XO
Hi Astrid and Mom!
I love both pictures, but if I had to pick one I would choose the siler chips one. It glitters, and I, being a cat, LOVE glittering things!
I KNOW Stampy will LOVE them both!

I like your artwork.
“She likes to burrow into my neck and knead me until I’m bloody”–how sweet! I love both versions of your artwork, so it’s hard to choose, but I think the first one is my favorite. 🙂
Very nice! They look almost mosaic-like. We like the first one best.
Lovely art!

I tried to pick a favorite, but then Sampson got mad at me. He said that it is impossible to pick a favorite photo of Astrid because they are all so beautiful. Though none do justice to the beauty she possesses within. Sampy sends all his love to his beautiful wife, and we all send love to all of you!
They’re both great but we like the first one best!
The Florida Furkids with bazillion smoochies and tons of love to Mau from Allie
Those are both really pretty and really classy too!
Please don’t make us choose! All three are amazing works of art! Yes, I’m including that gorgeous original! 😀 <3
I like both but the top one shows more detail and I love that!!
Our favorite is the first one, real cool effect ! Purrs
Gosh I like both of the photos but my FAVORITE is the first one……it looks like it was a bit of artwork done in mosaics…..beautiful!
Hugs, Teddy
This is a really cool effect!
