Today’s Caturday Art was created from my very favorite Christmas photo of Fiona. She was sitting on my lap while I opened my gifts. She took an interest in this painted glass ornament of a bear…a gift from my friend, E.T.
I wanted to take myself out of the photograph, but my disembodied, green-fingernailed hands looked creepy. I think I have moved myself out of the main focus on my precious angel. I used PicMonkey for all the filters and added the neon animation using LunaPic.
I think the photo now looks as if it is made up of twinkling, colored Christmas lights. What do you think?

I do want to share the original photo so you can see Angel Fiona as she actually was. I think the expression on her face is priceless.
Here is another of our annual holiday traditions, reprinted for anyone who joined us for the first time in 2016.
A Cat’s Letter to Santa Claws
Oh dearest Santa, I promise I’ve been good.
Always used my litter box and eaten all my food.
That broken lamp was a minor transgression.
I don’t think it required that time-out session.
And it wasn’t I who shred the arm of that chair.
Besides, isn’t that why they come with a pair.
The hairball on the human’s pillow didn’t come from me.
I don’t have floofy furs as you can plainly see.
And all that litter spread through the house hither to yon…
It sprang right out of the box long after I had gone.
And you know that sandwich the human left on the table…
I swear it was stolen by a stray mouse named Mabel.
And the Christmas tree that suddenly toppled over…
Was not pushed by me but a marauding gopher.
I have no idea how these critters invade my space.
I never leave the cat door open or out of place.
Oh. dearest Santa, I’ve truly never ever been naughty.
So please bring me some toys from Jackson Galaxy.
And a big bag of nip to last a whole year…
Please, oh please, oh please Santa dear.
And some nommy treats would be totally pawsome.
I’d eat every one and not leave a crumb.
For I, the cat, have been as good as a cat can be.
So please don’t pass me by this Christmas Eve.
If you’ll stop by my house once again this year,
I promise to leave cookies and a bit of good
And as to next year, I raise my right paw
And promise to be a good cat, oh dear Santa Claws.
Yours truly, The Cat

That’s a really SWEET photo of you and Fiona together…..Fiona’s expression is priceless as she goes for the ornament AND she looks like SILK – her coat is beautiful and shiny. That poem is great and kind of “says it all” about what Christmas is like for our sweet cats – so much to do and see and enjoy…..temptations all around! We hope that you and Tom and the kitties have a quiet Christmas Eve and we’ll be here tomorrow on “THE DAY”…….one of my favorite photos of Sam as a “memory selfie”.

I think the photo of you and Fiona is very sweet! And the poem made me MOL!
Mom loves this photo of Fiona helping you open and showing your package! Mom realizes it has been TEN whole years since her Ivory became an Angel! And 6 years since Maple became an Angel. Mom thinks it gets better when the younger wave of kitties needs homes and only Aspen is over 10 because she just turned age 11 on December 22nd as she was born late in 2004 and came to me February 24, 2005!
