Sunday Selfies Blog Hop: Week 81
I am your host today for our Sunday Selfies Blog Hop. I took a pretty great photo this week, don’t you think? Dad has this new gadget that is only a lens. We can put it up very close to our face and take a photo. It doesn’t flash, so we don’t get frightened or have dots before our eyes afterwards. It somehow syncs to his phone, but the photos aren’t stored there. They are saved to a card in the lens. At least I think that’s how he explained it.
A few of us tried out this lens thingie, and we each got at least one really great selfie. We’ll be sharing those on upcoming Sundays.
Okay, it’s your turn to show off your selfies. All anipals are welcome so please invite you friends to join us. They can be woofies or birdies, squirrels or bunnies or any other critter. You can use the code below to include the hop on your own blog. If you do, please link back to The Cat on My Head and/or display our badge.
If you only stop by on Sundays for the hop, you may not know about our current giveaway. Lisa Rogak, the author of Cats on the Job, has agreed to give away a copy of the book to one of our readers. You can read Mom’s review and enter by leaving a comment here. You have until 5 p.m. ET today to enter. Mom will select the winner using Random.org. Good luck!
Purrs and paw-pats, Astrid with kisses to my beloved boyfriend Sampy
You are truly a beauty. My mommy absolutely lovesTorties. I’m not jealous tho because she absolutely loves me too. xoxo
What a great gadget! If Mommy had something like that, there might be more pictures with my eyes open. Thanks for stopping by yesterday!
PS, wes gotted really overwhelmed with all the blogs we were following and with the changes in our life, we could not visit and comment like we wanted. With this incarnation, we are only posting on the blogs that posts on ours and we are trying to keep it manageable so we can post and respond like we like to. So we are not doing linkies. Please don’t mind if wes does not pawticipate. We does LOVES yous!!!
Nellie, darling. We hope you won’t be too upset. We just posted that you are back and gave the link to your new blog. Hope you don’t get overwhelmed with more followers than you want. How you will still love us!
You look very prettyful Astrid! Did you know Astrid was one of the names Daddyman wanted for Wilhelmina? He loves that name 🙂

Excellent selfie, Astrid!
You look more and more beautiful every time I see you. This is a very lovely selfie. And what a neat toy your dad got! Sounds like fun. I wanted to let you know that the Valentine’s/Anniversary gift I picked out for you arrived at our house last week. I am working on putting your package together and making you a card. I hope to have it mailed out in a couple days. Sending lots of love and a kiss for every fur on your precious face.
What a great selfie!!
Pipo sure would appawsiate a picture taking device like that, MOL! He always turns away…well a lot of the time,MOL!!
That is a great selfie! I’ve never heard of a camera like that, but I like that it doesn’t flash. The flash bothers my kitties’ eyes and they quickly get tired of my photo sessions with them. 🙂
What a beautiful picture. That new lens thing sounds pretty cool. Great that it doesn’t have a flash. I bet you will get some lovely pictures.
Tortilicious is my new favorite word, and it is what you are 100%, Astrid!
Wow! What better way to get the best picture of the most pawsome Tortie! I want one of those lens thingies too. That sounds like a great tool. We can add that to all the other lens things that Mommie has.

I love gadgets like that! Lucy is really petrified of a camera click, as is Maggie. Using the phone helps a ton, as I can mute it. But I might need to look into this lens thing. It might work even better!

Mommy has a very soft spot in her heat for a Torite. She also said she thinks she messed up the credits for the blog hop.

sorry, and where did you find that charming frame for your Selfie Astrid. I want to try it out too
*whoosh—sliding into blog hop* I am out of breath. I woke Mom L up really early because she FORGOT to do my SUnday Selfie and after ALL my pals helped me pick one out special. But, I made it. And Astrid you are looking lovely as ever. Mom L wants Dad Tom to let her know what lens he bought for his cell that does that type of cool close up photo. She wants one, of course!
That is a very beautiful selfie, Astrid! How nice it must be to not have a flash going off in your face!

Great selfie!! Shows off all of your tortie coloring and beauty.
What a purrfect selfie, Astrid! I’m sure it’s way over my head, but your dad’s new lens gadget sounds great. We can’t wait to see all the selfies you get with it. Purrs!
That really is a most beautiful selfie!!!
That is a beautiful selfie Astrid. That is great that you don’t get a flash in your eyes.
Looking good, Astrid!
Great picture. Is your Dad’s camera a Sony lens that uses wifi to sync with a phone? Those look very cool.
Astrid you are always such a beautiful lady! Have a great Easy at your house 🙂
Whoo…that sounds like a really cool lens! It sure did help you to take a great selfie today. We used to have a Tortie that looked a lot like you, Astrid, only she was a bit more gray than black. I love your colors!
