Throughly Poetic Thursday
I must apologize to Angel Sammy and Teddy (Two Spoiled Cats) that the part of my brain where my poetry aptitude resides seems to have taken a sabbatical. After a couple of false starts, I only was able to produce a haiku.
Here’s this week’s inspiration photo and my haiku.
A snowy day walk
Two Victorian lovers
Why don’t they hold hands?

Thankful Thursday
We are thankful today for a quiet week. With Sawyer now only taking two meds, and both being liquid, he is eating all his food. That means he is getting full doses of his meds. And, if we made it through the night after this went live, Sawyer is nine days without a grand mal seizure. He had a couple of small focal incidents on Wednesday, but in the scheme of things, they aren’t really worth mentioning. Every day without seeing our little guy in the throes of a seizure is a blessing.
And we are blessed to have so many friends and supporters praying for him.
Thankful Thursday is a blog hop hosted by our friend, Brian. To join the hop, post on your blog for what you are thankful. Then click on Brian’s badge, and pop over to the hop.

We’re so glad for Sawyer ! Purrs
Great poem. I need glasses, I thought they were holding hands 🙂 XO
That is very good news about Sawyer and I hope he continues to do well with the new meds regime.
I like your haiku too.
Purrayers that the POTP keeps on for Sawyer !
Once upon a time when our mom was a little girl she dreamed of becoming a poet, at least a writer. But she learned quickly she didn’t have any talent to venture that way, so we just decided to take photos. You did very well on the prompt.
The photo challenge was a toughie…I had a bit of a brain freeze then
Downton Abbey came into my mind’s eye.
I think your haiku is perfect.
Hugs Cecilia

Yes, why aren’t they holding hands.
Great news on Sawyer. He remains in my prayers. I hate to see our babies having issues.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥
Victorian’s were cold-fish, at least outwardly!
In elementary school, our teacher taught us how to compose haiku’s, and I’ve always loved them…and I love yours!
Still sending love to Sawyer.
Your Haiku is pawsome! We’re thankful for every day that Sawyer is seizure-free!

Maybe they were holding hands but their hands got cold. Purrs to sweet Sawyer from all of us. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Wonderful Haiku for that neat photo! And I am so happy for that news of little Sawyer. Prayers that this pattern will continue and that the meds will control the problem. Continued blessings! 🙂
Love the haiku….it’s one of the many thoughts we had when seeing the photo too. Then Mom noticed it looks like the gentleman has an “extra” glove in his hand and perhaps one in the right hand on the cane as well……or maybe a hanky. Anyway, it’s possible they WERE holding hands or wanted to hold hands. This photo is full of “maybes” !! Anyway, thank you for always joining us in having some poetry fun. We are also VERY VERY thankful that Sawyer hasn’t had a bad seizure. The little focals at least aren’t as scary or long-lasting or “dangerous” for him as the grand mals. We pray every day for our pal.
Hugs, Teddy
That Haiku is great! I *thought* they were holding hands…and you made me realize they were not! MOL!
I am glad Sawyer is doing better, but the put=rrs and pawyers will keep on for his well being.
