THE PLEA AND A THANKFUL

Thankful Thursday

Thankful Thursday

Is this the treat drawer?

Usually I begin our Thursday post with a poem for Thoroughly Poetic Thursday. Today, however, Dad Tom and I are grateful that our little whippersnapper, Sawyer, has totally recovered from the seizure and heatstroke of last Friday. So, I wanted to start with our thankful. Sawyer hasn’t had a seizure since. He’d been having one about every four days, so making it past that is a relief and answer to all our prayers.

Thank you to all who have joined in the prayers and sent POTP.  We know this journey isn’t over, but any and all brief respites are welcome and cherished.

Thankful Thursday is a blog hop hosted by a great tabby fellow, Brian. To join the hop, post on your blog for what you are thankful and then click on Brian’s badge to be transported to the hop.

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday

Every week our friends Teddy and angel Sammy challenge us to write a poem based on an inspiration photo. Here’s this week’s photo.

The Plea

Flying my kite is so much fun,
As I run along and enjoy the sun.
I wish I could fly high like my kite
Or like the birdies, take a soaring flight.
I’d like to see our planet from above
And admire the beauty that I so love.
Mom says adults are destroying our earth.
When I am grown she’s afraid for its worth.
I know she and Dad are good stewards.
They always recycle, reuse, repurpose,
And those solar panels we have work great.
But everyone needs to help before it’s too late!
Our oceans are being overtaken by plastic,
Coral is dying…no longer beautifully fantastic.
The climate is currently now out of wack…
Too hot, too much rain, fires at our backs.
Please don’t take earth for granted
But instead work hard to save our planet.

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday gives participants the opportunity to use their imaginations. If you haven’t been joining in the fun, check out Two Spoiled Cats (by clicking on the badge at the left) for next week’s inspiration photo.

While there, make certain to read Angel Sammy’s poem. He is a masterful poet, and I can promise you will enjoy his poem. Links to poems by other bloggers can be found in the comments. It’s always fun to see how others viewed the photo.

We’ll see you tomorrow for Friendly Fill-Ins and Feline Friday.
