Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
I skipped last Thursday’s poetry challenge but am back today to join Teddy and Angel Sammy, our hosts from Two Spoiled Cats.
Here is this week’s inspiration photo and my poem.
The Harbinger
A lone, wee flower peeking
Through the cracked pavement,
In a dot of sunlight,
Brings a smile to my face.
Broken dreams, lost loves
Disappointments and failures
Are forgotten, for if this
Single bloom can find its way
Through a fissure, I can
Conquer any obstacle,
Solve any problem and
enjoy a life filled with
gratitude and wellbeing.

He transmits it to Teddy from the Rainbow Bridge, and it is always thoughtful and well-crafted. Other poets leave links to their works in the comments, and you might want to check those out as well.
Thankful Thursday
Sawyer is here to share his thankfuls today and join the Thankful Thursday blog hop at Brian’s Home. Those thankfuls include a 12-day streak without a seizure, this birthday card from Teddy (Two Spoiled Cats) as well as the two he shared yesterday. He’s also grateful to all who attended his third birthday party and left their kind words and well wishes.
Dad Tom and I are thankful that we, our friends and family remain healthy. We are particularly thankful that we live in a state and area (southwest Virginia) where cases of and deaths from COVID-19 remain low. Nonetheless, we remain careful and vigilant. We pray you are doing the same and remain healthy.
If you’d like to participate in the Thankful Thursday blog hop, post on your blog for what you are thankful, then click on the badge below.

Love the poem. It’s amazing where some plants and flowers grow. Always amazes me.
We are healthy here and we don’t know anyone that has been sick with the virus.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Scritches to all the kitties and a hug to mom Janet. ♥
Plants are very opportunistic!
We had a plant growing out of a stack of old carpet squares, that had been left outside for much too long a time…ahem, by The Hubby.
We are so happy Sawyer had a good birthday!
Your poem is great and we think everyone needs to feel that we can get through anything if we try.

Those are wonderful thankfuls, keep being seizure free dear Sawyer. That was a wonderful poem. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
What a beautiful poem and I’m glad Sawyer’s birthday was a success. Hugs. Callie and Eugi
Sawyer we just know you had a blast on your birthday – you’ve got a lot of fans and friends who are so happy to hear 12 days too! 😉 Please let your Mom know that when my Mom read your Mom’s poem, she got chills – it’s just what sort of thoughts my Mom had about that photo too……we CAN conquer any challenge. We’re all proving that – right my friend????
Hugs, Teddy
