Thankful Thursday
Today is my fourth Gotcha Day, and for that I am very thankful. This was my first official photo taken that evening.
This was my second official photo taken the following day. I may have been just about the grumpiest cat on the planet.
I have to admit, I am a bit grumpy today, as Mom and Dad are not here to spoil me, but as I now have a second Gotcha Day (the day Mom brought me home from my walkabout) on July 21, I have decided to cut them a little slack. Because I can have a seizure at anytime, Mom has not left the city limits since October 2018. And I am certain she will tell Kit I need to get extra treats today.
I am slowly making friends with Kit. As Kit puts it, Astrid still thinks she’s an axe murderer. On the other side of the coin is Kizmet, who slept with her last night. The remainder of the gang are taking this unusual event of a “live-in” cat sitter with aplomb. As long as they are getting their meals on schedule, they really don’t care who is feeding and looking after them.
Anyhoo, I really am thankful as are all the Kitties Blue that Mom and Dad are spending Thanksgiving with family.
Profound Sadness
We are all in shock at the loss of our dear friend, Dad Pete Cusack, from Tomcat Commentary by Tim. Pete and his furry gang have been our friends and following us from the very beginning. They also were with us on our Sunday Selfies blog hop from week one. We have found that pet bloggers are incredibly caring and compassionate people, and Pete was at the top of that list. He was a kind, thoughtful, generous and loving individual. We are thankful to have known him and had him as a friend and supporter. We will miss him terribly, but he will remain in our hearts always.
I am going to pop over and join Brian’s Thankful Thursday blog hop and then sign-off.
All the Kitties Blue, Mom Janet and Dad Tom wish
everyone a joyful and blessed Thanksgiving.
Purrs and paw-pats, Sawyer
Happy Gotcha Day and Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Gotcha Day and Happy Thanksgiving! Although it is hard to be happy knowing Pete is gone. XO
Happy gotcha day and Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🦃🦃🦃. So sorry to hear Dad Pete 😪🙏
Happy Gotcha Day Sawyer, we sure love ya pal. We’re awfully sad about dear Pete too, just awful. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop and Happy Thanksgiving from all of us!
Sawyer, you are the tops in our books whether you’re feeling grumpy or happy. We get ticked too. It’s easy to get ticed when the furless ones say something dumb or worse yet they get stingy with the treats.
Einie’s dad passing was a shock to us all. He wil be remembered for his kindness, quick wit with the kitties and thoughtfulness.
We’re so sad for Dad Pete, he was so kind and so thoughtful, it’s heartbreaking.

We’re glad everyone is (mostly) getting along. We understand that sometimes that can be harder for you cats than for us dogs. Happy Gotcha Day, Sawyer, and we are very glad you are home (ok, home away from home) where you belong. Our sympathies are with Pete’s family and all the bloggers who also loved him.

Dear Sawyer, How did I miss your Gotcha Day? I am soooo happy you were gotcha’d and so thrilled to be your girlfriend. You look so adorable in your first photos!!
We are all very sad about Dad Pete. He was a super nice guy and will be missed.
Happy Gotcha Day and Happy Thanksgiving.
Love and whisker kisses,

First of all – HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all Hoppers here…..and to the family of humans and kitties who HOST it every week. We are grateful for your friendship and caring. We love Sawyer’s “grumpiness” – he’s precious and has a lot to bear but is still a snuggly little guy in spite of that. We think Kit is a blessing! Hope the Blue Mom and Dad are enjoying their first break in a long time with family. Of course everyone is sad about Mr. Pete but we also know in our hearts his spirit will be around us forever.
Hugs, Teddy and Mom Pam
Happy gotcha day, and happy Thanksgiving, Sawyer. We too are very sad about Timmy’s human.
We did not know Mr Cusack but we are sad about this news. Clearly he was a lovely human being and shall be sorely missed by many.
Thanksgiving time will forever be rather bittersweet in the Blogosphere from now on…Mr Pete will be so missed, he truly was a big part of all that happens here and in his own furmily with all his kitties, he was one of a kind.
Sawyer:
Happy Gotcha Day!!
To all:
Happy Thanksgiving!
Let us remember all our many blessings and be thankful…now and always.
