THANKS & POETRY

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday

As I do each Thursday, I am participating in the Two Spoiled Cats’ (Angel Sammy and Teddy) poetry challenge. Writing poetry has been a passion of mine since elementary school, and I appreciate the opportunity to write a variety of types by joining Angel Sammy and Teddy. The inspiration photo provided for this week is below along with my poem.

Too High

This is a great view
But maybe only for a few.
Those who suffer vertigo
Or have a fear of heights
Will probably never see these sites.
I for one could not go out.
And I know it would be a bother,
As I’d need to rely on another
Not afraid to go outside
To tell me what lies beyond
Or share a photo like this one.

My poem represents exactly how I feel about heights, and I would never venture onto this balcony.

If you would like to participate, you can find next week’s photo by clicking on the badge above. While visiting Two Spoiled Cats make certain you read Angel Sammy’s poem. He transmits it to Teddy from the Rainbow Bridge, and it is always superior. Links to poems by other bloggers can be found in the Comments section.

Thankful Thursday

Another tradition is entering the Thankful Thursday blog hop hosted by Brian.

The greatest thankful for us is that Sawyer has not had a seizure in 13 days. As always, I hope I am not jinxing him by telling you this.

Stinky and Periwinkle are grateful for those who visited and read this week’s adventure. If you missed it, you can read about it here.

I am super thankful that I am writing this post on my new MacBook Pro, an anniversary gift from Dad Tom.

Finally I am thankful we remain healthy as do all our friends and family.

If you’d like to participate in the hop, post on your blog for what you are thankful, then click on Brian’s badge to go to the hop and enter your link.
