Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
As I do each Thursday, I am participating in the Two Spoiled Cats’ (Angel Sammy and Teddy) poetry challenge. Writing poetry has been a passion of mine since elementary school, and I appreciate the opportunity to write a variety of types by joining Angel Sammy and Teddy. The inspiration photo provided for this week is below along with my poem.
Too High
This is a great view
But maybe only for a few.
Those who suffer vertigo
Or have a fear of heights
Will probably never see these sites.
I for one could not go out.
And I know it would be a bother,
As I’d need to rely on another
Not afraid to go outside
To tell me what lies beyond
Or share a photo like this one.

My poem represents exactly how I feel about heights, and I would never venture onto this balcony.
If you would like to participate, you can find next week’s photo by clicking on the badge above. While visiting Two Spoiled Cats make certain you read Angel Sammy’s poem. He transmits it to Teddy from the Rainbow Bridge, and it is always superior. Links to poems by other bloggers can be found in the Comments section.
Thankful Thursday
Another tradition is entering the Thankful Thursday blog hop hosted by Brian.
The greatest thankful for us is that Sawyer has not had a seizure in 13 days. As always, I hope I am not jinxing him by telling you this.
Stinky and Periwinkle are grateful for those who visited and read this week’s adventure. If you missed it, you can read about it here.
I am super thankful that I am writing this post on my new MacBook Pro, an anniversary gift from Dad Tom.
Finally I am thankful we remain healthy as do all our friends and family.
If you’d like to participate in the hop, post on your blog for what you are thankful, then click on Brian’s badge to go to the hop and enter your link.
That is very good news about Sawyer and I send best wishes for it to continue.
I agree, I do not like heights at all.
That’s great news about Sawyer! Paws crossed that he continues to be seizure free.
More good purr vibes to sweet Sawyer !
The view is beautiful, but it’s way to high for me. Hubby and I are afraid of heights.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Scritches to all the kitties and a hug to the mom. ♥
Love your poem. As soon as we saw that photo we thought too high as well. Oh we are all so thankful for Sawyer’s non-seizure days, we love you Sawyer! Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
We wouldn’t be on that balcony either.
We’re always happy to hear good news about Sawyer. Noelle wishes she was there with him.

Heights make me queasy; I cannot even look over the edge while driving across a bridge!
I have no depth perception, so that may have something to do with my fear of heights.
I think I would be happiest on the third floor or lower.
My momma would LUV it. But I think she’s in the minority.
So glad Sawyer has had a good (almost) 2 weeks!
Congrats on the new laptop! Also congrats on such a great poem for the SCARY photo Angel Sammy gave us this week to write a poem about. We feel like you do and prefer being earthbound than SKYWARD. Hugs to Sawyer – we hope he continues this seizureless streak – it’s our BIGGEST prayer.
Love, Teddy (and Mom)
Oh, Wow! I sure hope you are loving your new Macbook.I have one too and I do love it a lot!
So good to hear about Sawyer doing so well(…shhh….I will try not to jinx it…)
And your poem is like what I was thinking of that picture. I feel woozy thinking about it.
