Thankful Thursday
We are beginning with our thankfuls today, as we have a long list. Actually, Mom has the long list. We have our thankful at the end.
Mom is super grateful for recently winning a Sleepypod Air. She and Dad now have enough PTUs in case we ever have to evacuate. Paws crossed that never happens!
Mom also is thankful for finishing the holiday decorating. She usually hasn’t even started at this point. We’ve included a couple of tree photos.
The tree on the left is in the sunroom—a Kitties Blue-free zone. It has all Mom’s glass ornaments. The tree on the right has unbreakables and is in the dining room, which is basically our room. Neither tree is quite finished being decorated.
Mom is super thankful she gets to see one of her friends today. She hasn’t seen her since October 10. It has been even longer since she has seen either of her two other local friends. This pandemic has made her very lonely with so little real, in-person contact.
The biggest thankful is for her doctor’s appointment tomorrow. She is praying she will be able to get rid of the big old boot. She may have to go to a wooden, fracture shoe, but she is okay with that, as long as she doesn’t have to wear it for a long time.
We Kitties Blue are always thankful for a loving family as well as all our blogging friends, followers and supporters.
Thankful Thursday is a blog hop hosted by Brian. To participate post on your blog for what you are thankful, then click on the badge below to join the hop.
Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
On Thursdays, Mom or one of us write a poem for Two Spoiled Cats Angel Sammy and Teddy’s poetry challenge based on an inspiration photo. We think Mom punted this week, as she only wrote a haiku, but we promised to post it anyway. So here’s the photo and the haiku.
That house doesn’t look fun
Evil clown shouts stay away
Where are the tea cups?

He transmits it to Teddy each week from the Rainbow Bridge, and his poems are always terrific.

Cute poem. Beautiful trees. We usually put up 3, but this year we are only doing one. I hope you can ditch the boot. XO
Happy Thankful Thursday!! Your trees look so beautiful. We use to do two trees when I was little. We hope your mom had a fun time visiting her friends. Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful rest of your day.
Your trees are beautiful! The mom put our little one up yesterday but she hasn’t put the big one up yet. She’s debating whether she wants to. With the pandemic, it’s not like anyone is gonna get to see it…only us. So she wonders if it’s worth all the trouble. We think it is.
I’ve been looking at new carries for the kittens and a Sleepypod is on my list. Your trees are beautiful. We probably won’t have a tree this year since all we’d be doing is trying to keep kittens out of it!
Love your gorgeous trees!!
Hope you get to take off that boot:)
What wonderful trees. Dad is way behind but got his cards done, almost, so is happy about that. Great thankfuls and we cant wait till all this is over
Love both of your trees! Lucky you to get two! I barely get one!
Concats on the Sleepypod win!
I love the holiday headgear on the cats at the bottom.
I had a clown doll that I carried everywhere as a child, and I still have it, but this clown image is sorta scary…
Your trees are so beautiful and those are such nice thankfuls! We sure hope your Mom gets to kick off that big boot. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
The trees are beautiful. Nothing prettier than a decorated Christmas tree.
I hope you can get rid of the boot. Got my fingers and toes crossed.
Love your poem. We’re on the same page.
Have fabulous Thankful Thursday. Scritches to all the kitties and a big hug to you. ♥
Your trees are beautiful! We’re hoping your Mom gets her wish!!!

Oh boy! The house is sure looking festive and gorgeous like always…..smart to have a kitty-free tree with the breakables. Kitties can’t resist ornaments (although I myself just prefer lying under the tree – not playing with it!). We also think that haiku you wrote is fun – Fun Houses aren’t NECESSARILY fun though right? Tee Hee
Hugs, Teddy
Such beautiful trees, and very wise having one in a kitty-free zone! Best wishes on becoming bootless! Of course, you could always borrow an awesome looking pair from Santa …
Both trees are gorgeous!
