Throwback Thursday
I have no new photos to share that match up with our thankfuls for the week. So, here is a gratuitous, cute photo of Astrid from 2017. You may all squee now!
Thankful Thursday
At the top of our thankful list this week, is Dad Tom’s and my thankful for appointments to get our third dose of the Pfizer vaccine on September 7. If you have not gotten your vaccines yet, I encourage you to do so. The latest news is that if more Americans don’t step up and get vaccinated, the virus will be around until spring of 2022.
Sawyer has been home for five weeks, and he had his first gran mal seizure yesterday. He’s been doing a much better job of eating, which means he is getting the proper amount of his medications. We pray seizures continue to remain far apart. The better job of eating also is helping him regain the weight he lost while on his adventure.
All the Kitties Blue and I are thankful fo your continued support and friendship.
Thankful Thursday is a blog hop hosted by Brian. To participate, post on your blog for what you are thankful, then click on the Thankful Thursday badge to be transported over to Brian’s Home.
Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
Each Thursday I try to enter the poetry challenge hosted my our pals at Two Spoiled Cats, Teddy and Angel Sammy. The inspiration photo they provided for this week has my mouth watering and tastebuds tingling. I sure wish we had someplace local to get real Italian gelato.
Sweet Treat
Italian gelato is a decadent treat.
Every flavor is a delight to eat.
I’d love to have a cone with each one
And time to sit and savor until I’m done.
This makes me wish I was in Italy.
They have yummy gelato in every city.
Siena is my very favorite; I’d go tomorrow,
But this virus makes travel for me a big “no.”
I guess I’ll need to eat more ice cream.
And visit Italy in my nightly dreams.

That’s very pretty sweet Astrid! I hate that Sawyer had that biggie but we’ll be praying that they are very far between occurrences. Love you poem and gelato is pretty popular here too. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Sawyer, don; t have any more seizures [please please please. I like too pretend when you were out walking, you found a cliff to push them over. Mom and I care deeply for you and of course the rest of the family. We are focused on you though and want only good health for you.
That’s a pawsome ham-mick and cute photo. As much as we hate Sawyer having seizures, we’re happy that he went so long without one and is eating better and gaining back his weight.
Great poem…we want some of that too. Mom had gelato in Rome and said it was wonderful.
The Florida Furkids with love and paw pats and headbonks to Sawyer from Noelle
OK, Here it comes…squeeeeee! How very, very precious!
Gelato! I thought ice cream, and how wonderful that ice cream would be. Now I’m thinking how wonderful that gelato would be, LOL!
We’re not in a group here who is eligible yet for the booster. Hoping to get it before fall.
Love the flashback of adorable Astrid in her hammock…..we ALSO love love love your poem for the photo this week. All that delicious delightful ice cream makes it tough to choose but we’re with you…..a little of each please! We got our first gelato in Venice and sat on the steps in San Marco Square and enjoyed every bite. We wish Sawyer hadn’t had the GM but happy it was the first seizure in five whole weeks….keep up the good work eating and getting your meds Sawyer!!!!
Hugs from both of us………Pam and Teddy too
Great poem and a beautiful photo of Astrid. I am happy to hear that Sawyer had only one grand mal seizure in five weeks. I seem to remember it being far more often before.
Oh, that Astrid is a real star! So composed and lovely.
That is an adorable photo of Astrid!
Wow, a third booster shot. They haven’t decided that for our residents as yet…let alone the workers…and not a few of them have issues, myself included.
Sorry that Sawyer had a bad seizure. Us angels will purr hard for them to stop, and we know that those pups at our den will add tons of POTP for hm, too.
I am getting a sugar high, just from looking at all that ice cream.LOL!
