A couple of weeks ago we won a fountain from Layla Morgan at Cat Wisdom 101. It’s a stainless steel Drinkwell 360. Mom’s been wanting to get us a fountain for a very long time but always found them a little pricey. So you can imagine how excited she got when we won this. We honestly didn’t get why she was so overjoyed. It’s not as if it came with any nip.
She followed the directions very carefully but still found it pretty difficult to put together. But once she finished the assembly, filled it with water and plugged it in, she was all “yippee” and “look what I did.”
Three of us have taken to it right away. If you don’t know who The Kittens are, they’re Giulietta and Fiona. They and Lisbeth seem to be using it regularly when they are downstairs. Mom wanted to put it on the catio, but it said it was for indoor use only, so it is in the kitchen.
Those of us using it have our own methods of drinking. Giulietta drinks from one of the waterfalls. Fiona drinks from the bottom bowl. Lisbeth will drink from the top, but her favorite method is what Mom calls, “dip and lick.”
One thing Mom was concerned about was cleaning the fountain. But, she is happy to report that it was quite easy to take apart and wipe down. And though the directions advise to replace the filter every two weeks, our water is double filtered, so she’s hoping she won’t have to do it that often.
Now she’s hoping to get more of us using it. We know it’s only for her benefit. She doesn’t want to clean and fill our numerous water bowls several times a day. Slacker!
We have something else for which to be thankful as well. We’ve been interviewed by the Funny Farmer Felines. That interview will appear in tomorrow’s Mousebreath Magazine. We hope you’ll drop by the site and check it out.

I love the fountain! I’m so glad you won one and figured out how to put it together. Prince, Samantha’s kitty, prefers drinking from our bathroom sink and usually ignores the water bowl.
We has a fountain, my sisfur Miranda, and brofur Harvey tap the water before they drink, to see iffen it is there MOL!
That’s a pawesome fountain! We bet we’d love one like that too!
That’s so cool! We want a fountain like that!
*whispers* Guess what? No matter what they say, you don’t even need to use the filter! Our water’s filtered too, but we have an additive for healthy teeth that the filter would mess up, so we stopped using one ages ago. Also, the newer drinkwell fountains don’t use charcoal filters, but physical foam ones instead.
That looks nice. We had one that Dad heaved as it started making noise and was annoying. Maybe we can get him to look this one over.
Congratulations on winning the Drinkwell 360! We think that fountain is pretty awesome but they can’t be found here. Probably too expensive after the currency conversion. Mommy bought the plastic fountain for us once (Cosmo and Ling) but we won’t even go near it. And it was a pain to clean so Mommy gave it away.
Congratulations on winning the drink fountain, you will put it to good use! We just read your interview on Mousebreath, we enjoyed reading about you very much!

That’s a terrific fountain! Interesting to see the kitties different approach to drinking!! xx
Oh my stars ~ that is one fancy cat fountain!!! Banjo had one like that only it wasn’t stainless steel. He used it for a very long time and enjoyed every moment of it. How wonderful to win one! Have a good weekend!

that is so cool… I think I need to get one of those for Lucy!
What a grand fountain you won from Miss Layla! WOO WOO! Mom has never tried one of those but they look great – I’d be a dip and sipper myself because I love using my paws as cups…..is it quiet? That’s the biggest thing my Mom worries about because I’d probably be afraid of it if it hums. I’m a big wienie when it comes to noise! Congratulations on the Mousebreath Magazine interview! WOO WOO (again!).

Hooray for the cool fountain and it is so nice to see you enjoying it!
Ooooo! How exciting a new fountain! Concatulations on your win! I’ve never tried one but since I don’t use the cat tree that the humans spent lots of money on they are reluctant to buy one in case I don’t use it! Obviously I would though it looks like fun! =^.^=
What a cool prize and well done you on winning it. Enjoy. Have a fabulous Friday.
Best wishes Molly
One of the Kitties Who Came Before me was a dip-and-lick guy. The Human thinks those fountains are cool but she also thinks maybe I wouldn’t use it and she would say HBO words if she spent all those green papers and I wouldn’t use it. Heh heh.
We are going right over to read the interview!
What a cool fountain! Congrats on winning it!
We asked Jan for a fountain about elebenty twelve times and she always says no! Just because we have no place to plug it in, doesn’t mean we shouldn’t have one. Why can’t we plug it in at the neighbor’s?
That is one cool water fountain. I has a fountain too and M says I drink more water now that we have it. Congratulations on your win – that’s a pawsome prize.
I wish we had a new fountain – ours stopped working. I can’t wait to see your Funny Farmers interview in Mousebreath!
I really enjoyed reading this blog post
That is one cool drink of water you guys have there! We hope you all enjoy your new fountain. Guess what? We got our book today. Yippee!! Mom hasn’t felt much like doing anything, but we hope we can get her to read. She hasn’t even been doing that. But thank you and we just wanted to let you know it had arrived this afternoon.
The head peep has thought about a fountain for us but has worried about how hard it would be to clean, too. Especially since the last fountain she had, years ago, was terrible to clean. So it’s great to hear that this is easy to wipe down and keep clean. Thanks for letting us know.
Congrats on winning that fountain. Glad to see that some of you like it. Nothing better than nice fresh water. Take care.
Whoa! Great fountain. Great win! Concats. I hardly use mine so TW doesn’t change the filter that often.
This looks interesting, but I know it would be a source of play for Chloe Jo. She makes messes where it seems impossible. Grizelda, her sister, would love this. She loves water.
