Good morning, America, how are you? Don’t you know me? I’m your favorite son daughter (aka Lily Olivia). I’m the cat they call the Captain of America. I’ll be here to purrtect you ’til the day is done.*
We got this cool shirt to model from our best furiends, The Florida Furkids, from Friends Furever, where it was modeled by Raz and Mau’s vision-of-floofiness girlfriend, Allie.
They received it from Two Two from Margs Animals who received it from Laila and Minchie from Cat-A-Holic. The idea is to pass the shirt around the Cat Blogosphere for lots of us to model.
The shirt is very small. It only would have fit Lily or Astrid, and Mom didn’t want to listen to Astrid meyowl while she tried to put it on her. Lily did put up quite a fuss, clawed Mom on the wrist and gave her the stink-eye glare, but then she didn’t want to take it off. She wore it around the house for several hours and even outside.
Not to fret, the shirt will be laundered before we pass it to the next recipient. In order to do that, we need a volunteer. If you are a kitty, bun, piggie or woofie who can wear a size small and wants to be cool and stylin’, please leave us a comment, and we will send you the shirt.
Purrs and paw-pats, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
* With apologies to Steve Goodman for our parody of his superb folk song “City of New Orleans,” which was first recorded by him in 1971, and is one of our mom’s favortite songs.
I had no idea the shirt was still traveling! I lost track of it somewhere along the way. How fun! It looks fabulous on you 🙂
If you’re curious, this is where it started: http://theadventuresofscarlettandmelly.blogspot.com/2013/08/captain-mellybean.html
Oh my word, adorable! And she didn’t want to take it off–even more adorable! We were the second stop for that shirt. 🙂

Lily you look FAB in that T-shirt !
It´s a furry cool idea to send that Captain America T-shirt around the blogosphere 🙂
XOXO
You do make the t-shirt sweetie…but don’t even THINK about sending it this way….no way, no how will you be seein’ me in a t-shirt…heh…heh
Our only smallish kitty is Merlin who is my superhero. This is a fun idea although your model may not agree 😉
Wow she seems comfortable in it :-). I have never tried putting something like that on the three moggies. I wonder if they would let me 🙂
You look beautiful in that shirt Lily Olivia but we must say that thank Cod we’re not size small!
You make a great super-kitty-hero. There’s no way I’d wear a shirt, even if I could fit in it.
Lily Olivia, I don’t believe for a minute that you gave your Mama a lashing…or that you were fickle one minute, then wore the shirt indefinitely. Lies. All of it!! I am utterly convinced!
love, Leo
P.S. Esme would wear that t-shirt as would Malou. They are both small. Well, Esme is tiny so it would look very cute on her if you are still looking for a place to stopover!
the critters in the cottage xo
Lily Olivia, you look great in that shirt. We don’t think it would look as good on us.
Oh, now, that is just too cute!
Hugs! 🙂
It is quite becoming on you indeed!
oh love the t-shirt very cool!xx Speedy
Lily we think you look fabulous, we can’t wait to see who wears the shirt next!
How adorable is that and what a great and fun idea!
you are sure looking mighty fine in that shirt!
Sampson is a size small, and we think he would be a willing and compliant model! Lily Olivia, you look awesome in that shirt! We know who to count on if we have any trouble in our neck of the woods…
That is THE absolute cutest thing I have EVER seen! You look past adorable in that shirt! LOVE it.
With all that fur, I don’t think cats need to wear clothing!! Lily Olivia looks a bit grouchy wearing it. Glad to hear she decided it wasn’t such a bad idea. If I tried to dress Sophie I wouldn’t be around to tell the tale!
That tshirt is pawesome!
lily…well be glad yur knot havin ta wear pants !!! ewe look good tho we gotta say N hope it getz sended off ta popz & little E…. we gotta see this 🙂 !!!
One of us may give it a go. I may but Buttons or Rumpy could and our newest little fellow, Einstein would look darling in this. Let me know
Purrs
Timmy, please send your snail-mail address to us at: janet.blue@thecatonmyhead.com and the Captain American shirt will be on its way to Einstein as soon as it is laundered. We agree that he would look adorable wearing it. Though Lily did look grumpy (she actually does most of the time), she didn’t mind having it once it was on.
What a cool idea. Wish I were a size small, but I’m not. It would be fun to be part of that. Enjoy friends.
Most fetching and we know some kitty will be happy to sport such a lovely t shirt. Have a tremendous Thursday.
Best wishes Molly
That is a most fetching t-shirt indeed and you wear it with panache BUTTTT after Mom spent 20 minutes wrestling me into that sweater a few months ago we realized that I simply was meant to be “au natural” !!
Hugs, Sammy
You don’t look very happy to wear the t-shirt… We don’t wear clothes, you are very kind to accept to wear it : it could be… dangerous for our human to try it with us MOL ! Purrs
Lily Olivia, you do not look like you are enjoying that T-shirt. It would definitely fit me – but I ain’t wearing it!!!
Our westies wear clothes, but they’re too big for that shirt.
We feel safer already!
We kittehz – DO NOT WEAR CLOTHES.
Sorry. We look forward to seeing it on the next furriend, though.
XOXO
Hmm, Clothes, even if its a cool shirt.. me is not tooo sure.
Kisses
nellie
Ohhh, no no no no no no no no no! Spitty don’t play that. The Human tried to put a harness on me once ’cause she thought I’d enjoy going outdoors for some walkies.
I ate her liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.
You make that shirt look good 🙂
