THANK YOU TO CAT SCOUT CHARLES & WINNER ANNOUNCED

[follow_me]

If you do not have a Cat Scout in your furmaly or don’t stop by our blog with any regularity, you may not know this exceptional man-cat. He does not have a blog. But Charles has many admirers both at Scouts and among our furry residents, especially Lisbeth. The following has been written about him at Scouts:

Denmaster: “The newest Cat Scout of the Month is an everpresent angel, eager to help out in whatever way he can. He’s not here to toot his own horn; he’s here to become a better Cat Scout.”

One of his fellow scouts said of him: “Scout Charles is absolutely amazing. He is everywhere helping, doing and participating. I know you’re (Denmaster) aware of this because he was CSOTW earlier this month. He’s a popular scout and is always ready to pitch in to help. He would be a great CSOTM!!”

Charles is both Mau’s troop mate (Worldwide Wildcats) and patrol mate (Wolverines) and a total gentleman as well as a generous and thoughtful cat at all times. He has been Lisbeth’s escort for many Scouting activities, and Mom and Dad trust him completely with their beloved and shy, tuxie daughter. Lis and Charles are quite smitten with each other.

Cat Scout Charles goodiesShortly after Mau and Misty May’s tenth birthday, an unexpected package of goodies arrived in the mail from Charles. It was yet another indication of his sweet and generous spirit.

Cat Scout Charles goodiesIt was a veritable treasure chest of toys and treats, including yet another mousey that didn’t make it into our Mice Bucket Challenge. (See more about that below.) We received several types of nippy toys, a jingle ball, and a huge, pawsome kicker that makes crinkly noises. There’s also a story book, stickers, a mini plaque that Mom hung in the kitchen and a sweet card from Charles. Everything was even individually wrapped.

Thank you Cat Scout Charles

Even though it was not Astrid’s birthday, she thought she should have her pick of toys before Mom could get some photos; thus, the photo bomb! Lily Olivia decided to claim the box and tissue paper as her own.

We send our sincere and heartfelt thanks to Charles and his mom, Inge. And we apologize for our mom’s pathetic photography skills.

Purr Therapy Winner

Today, Mom was delighted to drop a copy of Purr Therapy in the mail to the winners of our giveaway: Marty the Manx and his mom, Kelly Jo. If you don’t know Marty, you can meet him on his blog, MusingsbyMaryManx.

Mice Bucket Challenge Update

Some who left comments on this post did not guess the number of mice. If you didn’t, you have until Saturday, October 18, at 5 p.m. to do so for an opportunity to win a donation to a 501(c)(3) shelter or rescue of your choice. Mom says she even will count those additional comments toward her donation amount to ALS and the 501(c)(3) rescue/shelter selected by the commenter chosen by Random.org. What this means is that you have two opportunities to win a donation (one for commenting and one for guessing the exact number of mice).

Purrs, paw-pats and thanks, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth (with special purrs, hugs and kisses for Charles) and Calista Jo

p.s. Purrlease join us tomorrow for Mom’s review and giveaway of the book, A Cat With Three Tales, by Karen Rieser.
