Sparks
This quote from Harvey Fierstein represents my feelings exactly. During these uncertain times, supporting and being there for each other is even more important!
If you are unfamiliar with Fierstein, here’s some information from Wikipedia. Harvey Forbes Fierstein is a 65-year-old, American actor, playwright, and voice actor. He’s best known for his roles as Frank Hillard in Mrs. Doubtfire and the voice of Yao in Mulan and Mulan II. Fierstein won the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play for his own play Torch Song Trilogy and the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for playing Edna Turnblad in Hairspray. He also wrote the book for the musical La Cage aux Folles, for which he won the Tony Award for Best Book of a Musical, and the book for the Tony Award-winning Kinky Boots. He was inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame in 2007.
Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend, Annie (McGuffy’s Reader). Annie is taking a “break” from blogging, so there is no hop. Many of us still continue to post a Spark on Monday, as we believe in Annie’s vision: “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!”
Awww Mondays/Thank You
Giulietta is back today to say, “thank you,” for the kind birthday wishes yesterday. She’s a bit miffed with me, as I did not mention that it was, of course, Angel Fiona’s birthday as well. She may have her wings, but Fiona has never left our hearts, so I must acknowledge that she too would have turned ten on the 18th. It still breaks my heart that she had such a short life.

The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky
Tomorrow, our favorite tabbies, Periwinkle & Stinky, will be off on another adventure. It will be posted at Friends Furever, and I really hope you will visit and support this fun-loving duo.
Sorry I missed your birthday. Happy belated birthday. I really like the image at the top of this post. Did you create it?
Happy Belated Birthday to Giulietta and to Angel Fiona. We hope Fiona had a wonderful time at the bridge partying with all of her friends. Thanks for sharing your lovely spark. Have a wonderful day.
My mom loves Harvey Fierstein. His voice is awesome, and he always makes her laugh. Happy Birthday to both Angel Fiona (yes indeed, ten years is much too short, tight hugs) and to the most lovely Giulietta. We’ve always thought she was gorgeous with a great name.
That is a great spark. XO
What a gorgeous photo of Giulietta. Harvey said it right…now is the time to take care of each other. We will get through this.
I’m so happy the birthday kitty has such a great birthday even though a bit late. She could just have a birthday week, or month.
Love the Spark.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. My best to your siblings and your wonderful mom. Stay well. ♥
Great spark ! We’re glad you had a nice celebration, Giulietta ! Purrs
Happy Birthday Giulietta and Angel Fiona!
Appropo indeed. The grey twins were just too good and beautiful.
That’s a lovely Spark! It’s okay sweet Giulietta, we all love that Angel Fiona and will never forget her.
We really like that Spark. Periwinkle is looking forward to seeing Stinky.

I love your thoughts here and yes, we need one another more than ever.
That is a good quote, particularly in these worrying times.
That is a perfect quote for “the times”…….and ANY time really. Giulietta you look beautiful this morning and we know you miss your sister Fiona – but you two ladies DID celebrate your birthdays together although apart. Sending you hugs!
Love, Teddy and Mom
We wish more peeps would think like that.
Great quote!
When we stick together (At a 6 foot distance…) we can accomplish many things which we couldn’t if we were solitary.
