TUESDAY TEASER CROSSOVER WITH PERIWINKLE & STINKY

The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky: Part XV

Periwinkle arrived at Stinky’s house just before bedtime the night prior to their adventure. Stinky had told her they would be leaving prior to sun up, and she wanted to be certain to get enough rest before they took off.

After a peaceful sleep, the two tabbies had a hardy breakfast of Fancy Feast and jumped into the teleportation tunnel. When they arrived at their destination, they boarded a bus. It was still too dark for Periwinkle to see the words on the side of the bus. She did notice some other furry occupants were already on board.

Periwinkle, still sleepy, put her head on Stinky’s shoulder and promptly fell asleep. It seemed like only minutes had passed when he was shaking her awake.

Still dark out, Stinky took Periwinkle’s paw and led her to a building. Then she immediately recognized their locale.

“Hey, Stinky,” she said, “This is Ding Dong Sheep School and home of the Tuesday Teaser. What are we doing here?”

Stinky replied, “We are waiting to be the official presenters of this week’s Teaser. Teddy’s mom, Pam, will let us know when it is time, so don’t fall asleep. We can quiz each other on geography while we wait. Maybe we’ll have the opportunity to be the first with the correct guess of the location.”

As they settled into their desks in the Ding Dong classroom, Periwinkle was a bit confused and asked, “But won’t we know the locale before we even leave here?”

Stinky answered, “No we won’t. Mom Pam will set the coordinates in our tunnel before we leave.”

“Well this should be very interesting,” replied Periwinkle.

Only a few minutes later, Mom Pam stuck her head in the classroom and told them she had just set the coordinates in their tunnel and it was time to leave.

The two tabbies jumped in and were gone in a flash!

Tune into the Teaser when it goes live at Two Spoiled Cats at its surprise time. You don’t want to miss the opportunity to be first commenter there. After checking in there, return here to see the Teaser photo and to read the remainder of Periwinkle and Stinky’s adventure.

Then you can return to the Teaser to leave your guess and chow down on whatever goodies Miss Dingleberry has whipped up for today.

Welcome back!

Periwinkle and Stinky came to rest in a snowy field in front of a quaint chapel.

Periwinkle asked Stinky, “Do you have any idea where we are?”

“Not a clue,” replied Stinky.

“Even though we are first to see this, it doesn’t seem as if we’ll be making a guess as to where we are,” said Periwinkle.

Stinky grabbed Periwinkle’s paw and replied, “Then let’s explore.”

Periwinkle was ready for that, and the two headed toward the chapel. Unfortunately the doors were locked and even with Periwinkle standing on Stinky’s shoulders, she could not see inside.

When Periwinkle jumped down she said, “If we get married some day, let’s do it here, but in the spring or summer. It’s way too cold in winter.”

Stinky blushed and dipped his head. Not being sure of his lifespan, due to his disorder, he had never even thought about marriage. But he took Periwinkle’s paws in his and whispered, “Of course.”

Periwinkle pulled her paws away, started jumping up and down and clapping, and then gave Stinky a big kiss.

After a little more exploring and a quick snowball fight (neither managed to hit the other), the two tabbies decided it was much too cold to spend any additional time in exploration and jumped in their tunnel for the trip home.

Not needing to return to school until the next day in order to find out where they had traveled, Stinky set the tunnel coordinates for his house.

When they arrived, Stinky’s mom had a nice lunch of Fancy Feast and Temptations ready for them. Of course, Stinky’s Fancy Feast had his medicine in it, which didn’t make him very happy. But he ate it all so that neither his mom nor Periwinkle would be upset with him. And he didn’t want to miss out on treats!

After a short nap, it was time for Periwinkle to return home.

Before she left, she asked Stinky, “Do you think the Cheer Team will let us do the cheer with them tomorrow when they announce the winners?”

Stinky replied, “That sure would be fun. We’ll ask the team and the professors if it would be okay.”

With Stinky assigned to call the Cheer Team as well as Professors Sammy and Teddy, Periwinkle and Stinky said their good-byes with hugs and whisker kisses. Periwinkle sadly entered her tunnel where she was gone in a whoosh!

The End

Check out The Teaser reveal tomorrow at Two Spoiled Cats to see if the tabbies get to join the Cheer Team for the day.

Please join Stinky and Periwinkle on their next adventure. You can read it next Tuesday at Friends Furever.

PERPETRATORS OF ILLITERACY

Friendly Fill-Ins: Week #21

FriendlyFillIns

Today is the friendly Fill-Ins blog hop hosted by our friends, Annie (McGuffy’s Reader) and Ellen (15 And Meowing). They each pick two sentences (Ellen the first two and Annie, the second two) with blanks for the participants to fill-in. To join the hop, add your link on Annie’s blog.

The kitties and I decided to share the fill-in post this week. Our completions are in teal italics.

1. We won a badge on Sammy’s Tuesday Teaser last week for being the first to correctly identify the teaser photo’s locale.

This week we stumped all the participants with this photo of the Roanoke Valley we submitted for the Teaser.

We received this badge for having our photo used.

2. (Completed by all Kitties Blue): My favorite magazine is whatever one Mom or Dad are reading. But it doesn’t have to be a magazine—a newspaper, book or any paper with words will do. One of us is always available to offer our assistance, but it is not to garner attention as most humans presume. We are most concerned about the possibility of humans gaining too much knowledge and becoming smarter than we are. We cats must retain our superiority! Our dad may be on to us, however. He always says that kitties are perpetrators of illiteracy.

3. (Completed by Lisbeth): Recently, my super thoughtful  boyfriend, Cat Scout Charles Mallory, sent me a beautiful charm for my collar and promised me his love.

4. (Completed by Lily Olivia): Even though I get whatever I want, I am not spoiled. It is impossible to spoil a cat. We deserve all the good things we get.

That’s it for today. We’ll see you tomorrow for the Caturday Art blog hop.

WINNER, WINNER CHICKEN DINNER

Well, actually there was no chicken nor any dinner for that matter. MOUSES! But we did get this terrific badge which we will display with pride on our sidebar.

If you don’t know what this is, you need to visit Sammy at onespoiledcat next Tuesday. Every week he presents a mystery photo to identify by giving it’s exact location. A variety of badges can be won for first commenter, first right guesser, correct guesser but not first and the ever popular loser’s badge (the Greenie). We are proud owners of a substantial stack of Greenies.

We actually were first and correct once before back in 2014.

To celebrate this week’s win, we invited Sammy’s Teaser cheerleader, kitten SuzieQ, to stop by and recite a poem we wrote. Take it away Suzie.

Teaser Winner
We are the winners, yes indeed.
We never thought we would succeed.
Greenies seemed to be our fate
Whether guessing early or guessing late.
But finally we got the answer right
Without Googling into the night.
And not only right but first and only!
We guarantee this is not baloney.
We received this badge, and it’s a doozy,
Giving us bragging rights ’til next Tuesday.
So thank you Sammy for this fun game.

We’re no longer hanging our heads in shame!

Thank you Sammy and SuzieQ. We hope it doesn’t take another two years for us once again to be first and correct.
