Sunday Selfie Blog Hop

Sunday Selfies: Week #157

Mom said I had to make this short. She’s pooped (tee hee…that’s a funny word for tired) from more Cat Scout activities, and she doesn’t want to type a lot. She actually said that I could ramble on as long as I want, but she probably wouldn’t type everything I said. MOUSES!

I didn’t do a very good job with my selfie, so I took a second one. The second one wasn’t much better. They are both blurry. Please accept my apologies. Mom should have saved these for Caturday Art.

Lisbeth's blurry selfies.

Now that you have seen my sweet but out-of-focus selfies, it is time to share yours with us. The link is below. Remember: All anipals are welcome, so feel free to invite friends, even un-domesticated ones. You may also wish to have the hop post on your blog If so, the code for that is below as well. Mom said that I should ask you to link to The Cat on My Head and/or display our selfies badge. Now that I have completed by Sunday Selfies duties, I want to fill you in on what is going to be happening around here this upcoming week.

Future Posts

We have lots of excitement coming your way. Kitties Blue will be reviewing a new brush as well as a new cat book, of which we will be giving away a copy. We also will celebrate Astrid’s and my six birthday. Mau and Cooper Murphy will join in with photos of craft projects and poems from Cat Scouts Summer Camp. All of this will be in addition to Wordless Wednesday, Thoroughly Poetic Thursday, Thankful Thursday, Friendly-Fill-Ins and Caturday Art.

The most exciting post will come one week from today. That’s when we will celebrate the third anniversary of our Sunday Selfies blog hop. Our first selfies post was August 17, 2014, and we had seven purrticipants. Now we average about 50 entries each week. Our very best week saw 67 selfies. All the Kitties Blue hope you’ll be here next Sunday as well as today.

Wowzers, I’m exhausted from just listing all of that! No wonder Mom wanted me to cut it short today! I fear, however, that I didn’t. Sorry, Mom!

Purrs and paw-pats, Lisbeth

Sunday  Selfies: Week #149

This Sunday is when we officially celebrate our dads and say thanks for all they do for us. We do we should do this more than one day each year, as our dads do things for us everyday. Our human dad is an exceptional cat daddy, and we love him very much. We wanted to do a special selfie with our day, but didn’t want to ask him and spoil our surprise. This afternoon while we had our heads together trying to come up with a plan, our dad picked up Mom’s new cell phone and took a selfie! We immediately got the photo from Mom’s phone and made this collage.

Father's Day with Kitties Blue and Dad Tom.

We wish all dads a happy Father’s Day, and we hope those of you who join us today will share your dad with us if you have one. All anipals, regardless of species, are invited to join our blog hop each Sunday. We truly do have the cutest critters on the internets joining us each week, and we’d love to have you join us. Meeting new kitties, woofies, buns, hamsters, guinea pigs, etc. and making friends is always fun.

Should you wish to join us, the link to add your selfie is below. You will also find the code there that you will need yo add the hop to your Sunday Selfies post. Should you decide to do this, would you please be so kind as to display our badge and/or link back to The Cat on My Head.

If you normally do not post on Sunday but still want to join in the fun, our hop remains open through Thursday.

Sunday Selfies: Week #148

Guess who? If you read yesterday’s post, you already know who. It’s me…Mauricio, otherwise known as Mau. I like to have my photo taken, and I like to take selfies. As you can see, I am very photogenic, and I have excellent posing skills. This photo is a tad unfocused, as I asked the petretary to blow it up really big! Sorry!

Mau's EXTRA special selfie for Allie

My selfies are always extra special, but this one is EXTRA, EXTRA special. I made it just for my beautiful and sweet wife, Allie. Next month we will celebrate the one-year anniversary of our marriage. How pawsome is that? Do you think she’ll like my selfie? She’ll probably faint. She has a bit of a tendency to do that. I already alerted Mom Sharon to have a pillow ready to break her fall.

Do y’all think I am being too conceited? I have been told with some regularity that I am a very fine looking tuxie gentleman. And if you haven’t seen me in uniform, you should check out Cat Scouts. If you’re not a member, sign up while you are there. Membership is free. You’ll have oodles of fun and make lots of nice friends. Just remember…no hooligans allowed!

Now that I have shown you my selfie, it is time to share yours. The link is below for you to use to add your selfie. Please feel free to share the hop on your blog, by using the code that also is below. Petretary asked me to remind you to include our badge or a link back to The Cat on My Head, especially if you post the hop.

We’d be delighted if you invited your friends to join us. Remember all anipals are welcome regardless of species. We think we have the best collection of cute critters hopping each week, and we always enjoy making new friends!

Our BlogPaws Swag Giveaway

Our Caturday Art yesterday was pretty wild. Which kitty or kitties were included was not immediately obvious. In view of that, we offered the opportunity to win some goodies from the recent BlogPaws Conference. The first person to guess correctly who is in the photo will be the winner. If no one guesses correctly, we’ll use to select a winner. If you don’t want to miss out, click on the link to yesterday’s post at the bottom of this one and leave a comment with your guess prior to 5 p.m. EDT tomorrow (Monday, June 12). We’ll announce the winner on Tuesday.

Have a great easy Sunday.

Ciao and meow, Mau

Sunday Selfies: Week #147

Misty May is remembering Dusty.

Surprise, surprise! It is me, Misty May, I only rarely make an appearance here, and I even more rarely do a Sunday Selfie. But when Mom asked me today, I felt generous, and so here I am. I hope Spitty will come by and give me a kiss.

Remembering Dusty

Today we are remembering and dedicating our blog hop to another friend, Dusty, who recently received his wings. Dusty was adopted in September 2015 as a senior kitty by the Dash Kitten crew. He was given a most marvelous life and enjoyed many adventures. Please join us in paying tribute to this special kitty who passed on May 24.

Remembering Dusty

If you have not had the opportunity to leave your condolences for the Dawson family and the Dash Kitten crew, you can do so here. Rest in Peace, Dusty.
