RESIDENT BUM TAKES ON FILL-INS
Friendly Fill-Ins: Week #195
It’s Friday again, which means it is time for those Friendly Fill-Ins hosted by Ellen (15 And Meowing) and Lorianne (Four-Legged Furballs). Each select two sentences for participants to complete. If you’d like to play along, click on the badge at the left. That will take you to Lorianne’s blog, where you can enter the link to your post.
Mom was having a bit of a melt-down last evening for a variety of reasons, so when she asked me to help her out with the fill-ins and represent for Feline Friday and Friendship Friday, I had to meow, “yes.” I used teal italics for my fill-ins.
1. I always carry my collar with name tag with me. (I also wear a locator disk and a disk to open the cat door to and from the yard.)
2. I would love to know why my sisfur, Misty May, is such a pain in everybody’s butt (both cats and humans)?
3. I express my love in the form of licking (washing) my humans, washing my fursibs and snuggling with both.
4. Having a forever home with the best humans in the world for the past 15 years makes me feel like the luckiest individual (cat) alive.
Feline Friday
I somewhat resent that my humans think I’m a bum, but I have no intention of changing my ways. Look at what a great life I have, and it is because I am spoiled. That’s not my fault, and I have no plan on calling out Mom or Dad!
I am joining the Feline Friday blog hop at Comedy Plus and the Friendship Friday blog hop at Create With Joy. To join me, click on the badges below.
Wishing all a Happy Valentine’s Day!
Purrs and paw-pats, Mau (with love and smooches for Allie)
FRIENDS, A TUMMY & TOESIES
Sparks
Occasionally a friend in California sends me a quote I think will be perfect for Sparks. I am sharing one of those with you today.
I have no attribution for this quote.
I am so thankful for my friends, as they do this for me everyday.
Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend, Annie (McGuffy’s Reader). Annie is taking a “break” from blogging, so there is no hop. Many of us still continue to post a Spark on Monday, as we believe in Annie’s vision: “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!”
Awww Mondays
Mau is not only our resident ham but also our resident bum; though, he does have some competition in that category. Mau is the kitty here today for the Awww Mondays blog hop at Comedy Plus.
Hope you enjoy Mau’s tummy, toesies and tip of his nose.
To join the hop, click on the badge below.
The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky
We won’t be here tomorrow, but those two fun-loving tabbies, Periwinkle & Stinky, will be off on another adventure. To join in the fun, check out their post tomorrow at Friends Furever.
KITTEN BOWL 2020 SELFIE
Sunday Selfies: Week #286
Cooper Murphy is your host today for our Sunday Selfies blog hop. He is sharing the trading card he made for the Hallmark Channel’s Kitten Bowl VII.
If you would like to make your own Kitten Bowl trading card, click on Cooper Murphy’s card. There are four teams from which you can select. And don’t forget to watch the Kitten Bowl at 2 p.m. ET on the Hallmark Channel.
Both Sawyer and Mau made trading cards as well and want to share them. Sort of bonus Sunday Selfies from the Kitties Blue boys.
Sawyer joined the same team as his girlfriend, Noelle, and he’s really hoping they’ll accept him, as it is the Little Longtails, and he has no tail. He’s hoping they won’t discriminate against him. Mau joined the team Allie selected.
We are looking forward to seeing all your selfies. Obviously they do not need to be in the form of Kitten Bowl trading cards. But if you’d like them to be, that would be fantastic. The link to add your post is below.
GOLDILOCKS & THE THREE CATS
Wordless Wednesday
Another Note from The Purrfect Pad
UNEXPLAINABLE FELINE FRIDAY MIRACLE
Feline Friday
We have an unlikely trio joining this week’s Feline Friday blog hop hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus.
I have no explanation for this photo. I think by now most of you know that Astrid adores big brother, Mau. (As usual he is hamming it up!) But what brought these three together on the bed is anyone’s guess. Whatever was behind it really isn’t important. Maybe a Christmas miracle, which we most likely never will see again.
Friendly Fill-Ins
Friendly Fill-ins is a blog hop hosted by Ellen (15 And Meowing) and Lorianne (Four-Legged Furballs). The fill-ins are really difficult this week, and I need more time to consider my answers. These are the sentences to be filled in if you want to give them a whirl.
1. On New Year’s Eve, I _______________________________.
2. My focus word for 2020 is ______________________.
3. _________ is the best thing about starting a new year.
4. My personal goals for 2020 include _________.
I will be posting the sentences with my completions tomorrow.
Kitties Blue and I also will have some art for you tomorrow.
BOXING DAY WITH THANKFULS & SOME POETRY
Boxing Day First
Mau received a really terrific present from his dearest wife Allie, but, of course, he had to try out the box. (Sorry for the blurry photo.)
Thankful Thursday
What better day to fall after Christmas Day than Thankful Thursday. The kitties, Dad Tom and I had a wonderfully quiet day. There were terrific gifts all the way around. Lisbeth especially enjoyed this Christmas tree bed from Teddy (Two Spoiled Cats). She is the official bed quality control officer of the Kitties Blue crew.
It also was an incredibly beautiful day, which I talk about in one of the three poems I wrote for today.
All of us are super thankful for the snail and e-mail Christmas cards we have received from our blogging friends. If we had your snail mail address, we have sent you a card that way. If you live outside the USA, we hope it will arrive before Valentine’s Day. I posted our e-card yesterday. If you missed it, click on the link at the bottom of this post. Please take a copy if you’d like one.
Thankful Thursday is a blog hop hosted by Brian. To join the hop, post on your blog for what you are thankful, then click on the badge below to hop over to Brian’s.
Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
Each week our friends, Teddy and Angel Sammy, post an inspiration photo for their followers who are fans of and like to write poetry. Here’s the photo for this week.
I couldn’t decide what I wanted to write, so I am presenting you with two haikus and one poem.
Haiku #1
A sleigh ride is fun
But these horses’ asses stink
Should have brought gas masks
Haiku #2
Dashing through the snow
More like plodding through the snow
Slow trip to grandma’s
Christmas Now & Then
No snow for us on Christmas this year.
The sun was out and skies clear.
It was 60 degrees, felt like spring,
Made our mom downright giddy.
Growing up in California it was rarely cold,
And at Christmas it never once snowed.
So she felt just as she did as a child,
When Christmas was always sunny and mild.

If you’d like to participate in Thoroughly Poetic Thursday, click the badge below. You will find the photo for next week’s poem as well as a poem written by Angel Sammy for this week’s photo. He is the poet in the family and transmits his poem to Teddy each week from the Rainbow Bridge. And he is a most wonderful poet.
Happy Boxing day to all. Hope our feline friends received oodles of boxes in which to enjoy the day.
SANTA MAU SELFIE
Sunday Selfies: Week #280
Ho, ho, ho! Did you recognize me pretending to be Santa Claws? Mom promised a festive selfie, and I am the most laid back when it comes to having to wear something for a minute or two. So, by default, I get to play Santa and host this Christmas-themed Sunday Selfie hop.
My fursibs and I know lots of our friends’ humans are probably busy with last minute Christmas preparations, but we are hoping you can convince them to take a few minutes to help you post a selfie and join our hop. Whether you’ve been naughty or nice this year, you are welcome to hop with us. And it’s definitely not necessary to dress up.
Tomorrow, Mom will post an holiday-appropriate Spark. On Tuesday, those two traveling tabbies, Periwinkle and Stinky, will be here with a new Adventure. Stinky says that if you are a big fan of Christmas, you won’t want to miss it.
The link to enter the hop is below. Thanks for joining us again this week.
Purrs and paw-pats, Mau (with smooches and love for Allie)
MAU DELIVERS A SPARK OF FRIENDSHIP
Sparks
Today’s Spark is from Thomas Jefferson and delivered with exuberance by Mau.
Mau is a friend to all the other Kitties Blue, except perhaps his sister, Misty May. They were close as kittens but through the years have developed a true sibling rivalry.
Once again Mau and Lisbeth were sharing the coveted kitchen sunpuddle. With the heated kitchen floor they can warm both their topsides and bottom sides at the same time. Pretty much the equivalent of kitty heaven.
Mau and Lisbeth are hoping over to see Sandee and join her Awww Monday’s blog hop at Comedy Plus. If you would like to participate, click on the badge below.
The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky
This fun-loving, tabby duo will return tomorrow with the next installment in their adventure series. It is Stinky’s week to post, and I know both he and Periwinkle will be looking forward to seeing you here tomorrow.
