Sunday Selfies: Week #116
As Halloween is tomorrow, Mom thought one of us kitties would be posting some type of ghoulish selfie for today’s blog hop. But not so. I am leaving that to my two fursibs who will be posting tomorrow. Instead I have done a nice fall-themed selfie.
Posting a fall selfie seemed like a terrific idea, except for the fact that it was 83 degrees F here yesterday, and today is supposed to be more of the same. The record high for yesterday was 84 degrees F in 1928, so we just missed it. We really haven’t seen much in the way of the leaves changing colors. The dogwoods have changed, but most of the others are completely green and still on the trees or have fallen without changing. Pffft!
Mom says she doesn’t mind if we have a warmer than usual winter. She hates the cold. She is sorry, however, that we are not having a colorful fall. MOUSES!
Anyhoo…this is our Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, and we are looking forward to having oodles of you join us on our fun hop. All critters are welcome regardless of species. If you don’t normally post on Sundays, that’s okay. You can link to another day’s post. And if you can’t get here today to add your link, that is alright as well. The hop stays open through Thursday. Also, if you have difficulty linking, just leave us a comment. Mom will do it for you.
If you’d like to post the hop on your blog, the code is below. If you do so, please to us the favor of including a link back to The Cat on My Head and/or display our badge.
With thanks and paw-pats, Misty May
p.s. Mom’s Mac and Cheese recipe is below.
CREAMY MACARONI AND CHEESE
I must preface my recipe by saying that I rarely measure ingredients except when it is an absolute necessity.
1 box medium-sized shell pasta (cooked al dente)
1 stick salted butter
two heaping serving spoons of sour cream
grated sharp white cheddar cheese (enough to totally cover top of pasta, butter and sour cream mixture.
After boiling pasta place in glass (microwave safe) casserole that has been sprayed with PAM or similar product. Add stick of butter and stir until melted. Make a well in the center of the shells and add sour cream. Cover top with cheese. Cover casserole dish and microwave on high for 5 minutes. Remove and stir all ingredients together until blended and creamy. Serve.
If you do not like the consistency, the next time you make this, add or subtract sour cream and/or cheese.
