Thankful Thursday
Reminding ourselves each week of things for which we are grateful and joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday blog hop is important to me and the Kitties Blue.
Lisbeth is up first this week. She and Astrid enjoyed a terrific birthday bash yesterday and are grateful for all the kind wishes. Lisbeth is especially thankful for the comment from her thoughtful and sweet boyfriend, Angel Charles. The card and beautiful gifts she received from Charles’ family made her very happy, as you can see in the photo collage.
Astrid also received a beautiful knit blanket. She has promised to let me take a photo of her with it to share in a future post.
Sawyer is grateful that he has now been home for four weeks and has not had a major seizure. He has had one extended focal seizure consisting of muscle contractions and unusual head, mouth and eye movements. It lasted for about forty-five minutes with the symptoms occurring every two to five seconds. He was totally fine when it was over. Dad Tom and I are thankful as well that this is all he has experienced.
Dad Tom and I are thankful we will be meeting Teddy’s mom and dad today for lunch. We missed seeing each other in all of 2020 due to the pandemic.
I am thankful for the gifts Angel Charles’ mom sent me. She is truly a kind, thoughtful and generous person. That we will remain friends makes me very happy.
Thankful Thursday is a blog hop. To participate, post on your blog for what you are thankful and then click on Brian’s badge to join the hop.
Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
I am participating in Angel Sammy and Teddy’s poetry challenge this week. The inspiration photo and my poem are below.
Storytime
Shhh…be very quiet. Mom said we had to go to sleep.
But I have a new book, and the story just won’t keep.
It’s all about a boy named Christopher and a bear named Pooh,
And they have a friendship like I have with all of you.
I know you’ll want to hear the story, so gather close around.
I will have to whisper and none of you can make a sound.
If mom hears me and comes in, she’ll take my flashlight,
And we’ll all be forced to end our story and say goodnight.

I would have liked to have a better ending for this poem, but I just couldn’t come up with the additional two lines needed. Nonetheless, I hope you have enjoyed it.
If you’d like to take part in Thoroughly Poetic Thursday, you can find the inspiration photo for next week at Two Spoiled Cats. Click on the poetry badge to go there. Make sure you read Angel Sammy’s poem when you visit. It’s always a winner.
Purrs for Sawyer not to have ANY seizures at all…but yes its good that he hasn’t had grand mal ones.
Thta was so nice of Angel Charles to send all those gifts!
Hope you and Teddy’s peeps have a good visit together.
We are so happy to read Sawyer has not had any major seizures since returning home. Thank you for posting pictures of Ms Lisbeth checking out her presents. I hope we get to see what Ms Astrid received from her family for her birthday. How wonderful that you live close enough to Teddy’s mom and dad that mom and dad Blue can go visit them for lunch. The poem was perfect for this weeks picture. Love to all
Great poem. Wonderful thankfuls. I am sorry about the seizure, but glad there were none of the really bad ones. I can’t wait to see Teddy’s folks. I wish I could meet you someday. XO
Lots to be thankful for this week, especially that Sawyer is doing well.
What a fun birthday and look at that pile of wonderful goodies! Happy Birthday Girls! We are so happy Sawyer is home and that this seizure did not have any lasting effects. So nice to visit Dad wishes he still could so please say hello to Teddys Mom and Dad for us
Looks like quite a fun party, and the kitties and I love pictures and the poetry!
Lisbeth certainly looked like she loved her presents. We don’t get much in the way of goodies or presents. We eat a raw diet, and Mom says no sweets or cars. Or is that cabs. No I think it’s either crabs or carbs. Anyhoo, our pressies are always stuff we don’t really want like new collars or harnesses. Maybe Angel Charles’ Mom could teach her how to do it better, BOL!
Your poem is great, too!
XOX Xena and Lucy
Those really are good thankful and we’re glad that Sawyer is doing so well, we really are. We enjoyed your poem too. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
I’m thrilled the girls had great birthdays yesterday. Love a good birthday celebration.
I’m so happy Sawyer is home. That was a very long seizure though. The best part he was fine when it was over.
Lots of wonderful thankful things and enjoy your lunch with our blogging buddy.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Scritches all around and a hug to mom. ♥
It looks like the girls had a great birthday. Fun poem.
We are always Thankful when Sawyer doesn’t have a visit from the seizure monster.
Mom is sooo jealous that you get to have lunch with Teddy’s Mom and Dad. Take lots of photos please.

Oh we’re so happy the girls had a great birthday with so many wonderful presents! My Mom and Dad are SOOOOOOOOOOO looking forward to seeing your Mom and Dad today for lunch. It’s been way too long. Also, that poem is GOLDEN – it’s exactly what the photo shows – a little girl with her very best friends spending quality time with a story shared with BEST friends. It’s a magical bit of artwork and the poems we’ve seen for it are SOOOOOOOOOOO good!
Hugs, Teddy
This has been an awesome week of thankfuls.
Oh, how lucky you are to live near Teddy and his family! We live so far away from so many old friends in the USA but we do keep in touch with emails and WhatsApp and can actually SEE one another with video calls. We are SO glad to have good news of Sawyer, and when he feels up to it he will tell you of his adventures….
