Sparks
When I don’t have a set idea of what I would like to express with for Sparks, I will check to see what famous people were born on that day. I discovered that July 6 is the 14th and current Dalai Lama’s birthday. Consequently, I chose a quote from him.
So many need help these days, as we all struggle with life during the pandemic. I thought that made this quote appropriate for today.
I am not certain that the cat in this graphic is trying to be helpful or is just a tease, but it seemed a good representation of helping each other regardless of who or “what” we are.
Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend, Annie (McGuffy’s Reader). Annie is taking a “break” from blogging, so there is no hop. Many of us still continue to post a Spark on Monday, as we believe in Annie’s vision: “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!
Awww Mondays
The orange kitty in today’s Spark suggested our “awwwdorable” cat for today should be another orange cat. So, here he is.
Seems as if Cooper Murphy discovered the wicked nip after watching Mau imbibe (“Hey, Dude…Should I Call Rehab?”).
When Cooper wakes up, he’ll be joining the Awww Mondays blog hop at Comedy Plus. If you’d like to participate, click on the badge below.
The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky
This fun-loving, tabby duo will return tomorrow with the next installment in their adventure series. It is Periwinkle’s week to post, so look for them over at Friends Furever. I know both Periwinkle and Stinky will be looking forward to seeing you there tomorrow.
Grеetіngs from Florida! I’m bored to ⅾeath at work so I decided to check out your blog on my iphone during lunch break.
I really liқe the info you provide here and can’t ԝait to take a look when I get home.
I’m amazed ɑt how qᥙick your blog loaded on my mobile ..
I’m not even using WIFI, just 3G .. Anyways, fantastic site!
That is such a great spark by the Dalai Lama! It looks to is like that kitty is helping the dog. And speaking of helping, Cooper Murphy definitely helped himself to some nip. MOL
Cooper Murphy know how to enjoy the nip!
Cooper Murphy! You’re headed to rehab if you aren’t careful. 🙂
There is group of four (fiction) books about “The Dalai Lama’s Cat” by David Michie. Even though they are fiction, they hew pretty closely to the spirit of the quote above. They are told from the cat’s point of view.
We have read two or three of them. They are wonderful books.
Ahh, yes…being helpful is another expression of loving your neighbors, be they known or not, next door or in other countries.
What a terrific SPARK….it is so true. If, you cannot help…then don’t hinder peeps. This brings images from the TV news of peeps pushing and shoving others because they are not the same race. DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR! A little kindness would have gone a long way.
Coop, you are my sunshine whether nipped or not….Tyebe
Awww-dorable is the word! I just love that spark too.
That is a great way to find a spark. I love this one and the cartoon with it. XO
One of my favorite mems is one cat rubbing up to another, who is wearing a cone. The first cat says, “I love you, lamp”, and the response is, “Shut Up!”
The perfect Spark for today.
Awww on Cooper Murphy. You know I have a soft spot for him. Handsome and then some.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week, Cooper Murphy. Scritches to all the kitties and a big hug to the mom. ♥

The Florida Furkids with smoochies and love to Mau from Allie and paw pats and headbonks to Sawyer from Noelle
Love the graphic and the Dalai Lama’s wonderful quote. We saw a recent interview with him on the news – Mom says he doesn’t pull punches (not sure what that means!) and expresses peace and love in a way everyone can understand. Great SPARK!! Coop looks pretty well nipped-up…….we gingers know how to look good when we’re high don’t we!!
Hugs, Teddy
