SPARK FOR THE NEW YEAR

Sparks

It seems as if it was just yesterday we were celebrating the start of a new century and worrying about Y2K. But here we are 20 years later and entering a new decade. My mom would have celebrated her 100th birthday in 2020, but she died 55 years ago. It amazes me how quickly the years slip away.

My Spark for today is a suggested New Year’s resolution.

The author of this week’s Spark, Hans Göran Persson, served as Prime Minister of Sweden from 1996 to 2006 and was leader of the Swedish Social Democratic Party from 1996 to 2007. If you are interested in finding out more about him, you’ll find an extensive entry about Persson on Wikipedia.

Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend, Annie (McGuffy’s Reader). Annie is taking a “break” from blogging, so there is no hop. Many of us still continue to post a Spark on Monday, as we believe in Annie’s vision: “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!”

Awww Mondays

A sleeping Calista Jo is joining the Awww Mondays blog hope at Comedy Plus.

This is C.J.’s go to napping spot. As she sleeps with us at night, this means she spends the majority of the day on our bed. If you would like to participate in the hop, click on the badge below.

The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky

These two tabbies will be sharing their next adventure tomorrow (New Year’s Eve) on the Friends Furever blog. They hope to see lots of you there to share it with them.
