Sparks
Sawyer is nothing if not resilient. He truly amazes us. The photo above was taken Saturday as he was recovering from a seizure and heat stroke on Friday. He hasn’t completely recovered, but he is up and walking around a bit and eating. We were able to get valium in him and his temperature back to normal at home, but he did go to our vet on Saturday for some fluids.
I absolutely do not know how this little kitty continues to bounce back; though, each time it takes him longer to recover. If only we could control his seizures but this progression is typical with his diagnosis of feline hippocampal and piriform lobe necrosis.
Dad Tom and I want to thank Teddy and Mom Pam for their Sunday Selfies post with this sweet badge for Sawyer and the request for prayers and POTP.
Teddy’s mom is an integral part of my support system, and she loves our little guy bunches. Thanks also go to all those who commented on her post and are keeping Sawyer in their prayers.
The author of today’s Spark, Steven Pressfield, is an American author of non-fiction, historical and military fiction, and screenplays. He is best known for his book, The Legend of Bagger Vance, which was made into a movie staring Matt Damon and Will Smith.
Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend, Annie (McGuffy’s Reader). Annie has been taking a “break” from blogging, so there is no hop. Unfortunately, during this break, Annie has been the victim of a hacker. This has continued to keep her off-line and caused her much distress. Please continue to send prayers to Annie and her family as they work to get their lives back to normal. And finally, the handsome and charismatic Cooper Murphy is here to join the Awww
Many of us believe in Annie’s vision: “If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!”
Awww Mondays

Oh, little Sawyer, you are such a tower of strength. I continue to pray that those awful seizures will abate. Hugs, precious.
Sawyer truly is a little miracle kitty and we hope his strength and resilience continue throughout his life. He’s so special and so brave. If only we could all push through adversity like this little guy does. Anyway, love your SPARK with his photo today – very special.
Hugs, Pam and Teddy too
I send purrs to Sawyer all the time. He is one resilient kitty… but that is how we naturally are, and it’s a lesson we are sent here to give to you humans. That’s why I’m a therapy cat.
