It started snowing at about dawn yesterday morning and snowed all day. We were covered by 11.5 inches at bedtime last night. It’s supposed to continue until midnight tonight.
Our dad’s current project for one of the photo clubs to which he belongs is snow photos. He usually takes lots of photos when it snows, but this time he really concentrated on quality and not quantity. After all his hard work, we cannot believe that Mom is messing with the photos for our Caturday Art submission to Athena and Marie’s Blog Hop. But mess she did using PicMonkey.
Mom started with a squirrel in the snow photo as she was upset we missed Squirrel Appreciation Day on the 21st. Atop that is an overlay of two snowflakes. The frame was added using PicMonkey as well.
Here are the two original photos.

We don’t really like the snow, so you won’t see any white stuff around whoever hosts our Sunday Selfies Blog Hop tomorrow. None of us have stepped forward to volunteer so, as always, you’ll have to stop by to view our representative. We are going to try to visit more of last week’s participants tomorrow as we know our typist won’t be leaving the house.
If you are in the area of our country being pummeled by snow, as we are, please stay safe and warm inside. Grab a good book, a cup of hot chocolate, a cat or two, an afghan, put you feet up and relax.

Great photos!
Please send some snow to England. We just don’t get it any more.

The effects you added to the photo make it look like such a fun, fantastical illustration, and I love it! So pawesome!
That was super creative of Mom to use Dad’s snaps to make your art. 🙂
It’s still snowing here … they say 18-24″ when it’s all done.
See you tomorrow for Selfie Sunday!
Hugs
That came out great.
Oh gosh… that squirrel art is really and truly, ART. Love it! purrs
Purrs,
Seville
That’s beautiful! In the biz, we call that a double exposure since now you can’t actually do a double exposure with the digital camera cos you can’t roll the film back.
The squirrel photo is adorable and we love how you “artified” it too!
Cool squirrel art work !
The snowflake photo was very cool too !!
XOXO
That’s a great effect! I think that is what humans do, they try to out perfect perfection!!! MOL xxx
That’s squirrels toes must be cold! I’m glad it doesn’t snow here.
Stay warm. Hopefully you won’t get too much more snow.
We adore squirrels and love what you did to the picture. So beautiful! Purrs from the Zee/Zoey kitties
Does Mr. Squirrel like snow ? What a lovely photo, and very cool effect ! Purrs
oooh, purring all stays well at your home with this winter BLAST!!
great messing Mum. Stay warm my little furry friends
very creative I must say.
That is a great effect on a lovely photo.
We like the snow photo – good job – it’s really cool. Our heart goes out to all people living in the snowstorm area – it’s a nasty one. We’re so thankful that it missed Wisconsin, but we hate to see our friends get stuck with it too. Stay safe – you gave good advice.
That is a great photo effect on your Dad’s terrific photo.
Snow!! I love snow! My mom doesn’t so since I can’t go outside except on a leash, I won’t see much of it. Bummer. Pretty squirrel art! Purrs, Toby
Cute photo! Okay, I’ll quit complaining about our few inches here. You win! I don’t know what I’d do with a foot of snow. A few inches and we can’t drive down our driveway and our country mountain road is buried! But you still win! 😀
We like the snow photos! I hope y’all are okay with the storm, it mostly missed us.
Love that effect and that photo……Mr. Squirrel seems glad he can reach SOMETHING to eat with all this snow! We have a lot on the ground with more coming too – let’s hope tomorrow’s sun melts some of this stuff away!!!! Stay cozy…..we are..
Love, Sammy
That’s a lovely squirrel-arty-picture. Q+Q in one 😉 Pawkisses 🙂 <3
I think it is a cool effect!
This is very lovely artwork! You have a gift, my friend. I sent you an email about art apps and PhotoShop. It is about time that I learn and develop that skill. Hugs! xoxo
That is a fun squirrel picture and art! And it made dog-guy excited to see one up close, MOL!
We sure hope you don’t get buried in all that snow, Yikes!
We are purring that your power stays on too.
And more purrs fur all in the path of ‘Jonas’ to stay be safe.
