Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
I totally enjoy creating poems and joining Angel Sammy and Teddy’s (Two Spoiled Cats) weekly poetry challenge. They provided a really “cool” inspiration photo this week, but unfortunately my poem is totally lame. I apologize to Teddy, Angel Sammy, James Pierpont (author of “Jingle Bells”) and each of you reading it. I had what I thought was a good plan, but it just didn’t turn out that well. Top that off with the fact Cooper Murphy hates snow after being abandoned in it, and it’s even more pathetic. But I already had Cooper on the sled from a Cat Scouts event, so…
Dashing Through the Snow
These snow people look so sad
Bent over, trudging down the mountain.
The wind at my back makes me go fast!
Sadly, it causes them to slump over.
Many days of sunshine will be needed
To release them from their heavy burden,
So they can stand tall and proud.
I will watch them as I fly by daily—
Thankful I’m a cat and not a tree.

If you haven’t been participating in Teddy and Angel Sammy’s poetry challenge, I challenge you to give it a try. Check out Two Spoiled Cats, by clicking on the poetry badge, for next week’s inspiration photo. And please read Angel Sammy’s poem. He’s one of our favorite poets!
Thankful Thursday
It seems as if most of the thankfuls this week are mine. To begin, I am especially thankful for those of you who have read and commented on the past posts I’ve been refurbishing and linking to here.
I also am thankful for completing 2300 Peloton rides and receiving a shout out from the instructor.
I am super thankful for completing lots of my interior Christmas decorating (excluding trees).
All of us are thankful for your support, following, comments and friendship.
Finally, I am thankful my camellia bush is in full bloom. It is always such a bright spot once all the leaves have fallen.
That was a great poem. Kuddos to you for 2,300 rides! XO
That was a fun and wonderful poem, but now my paws are cold. Those are all terrific thankfuls too. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Love the poem and love it that Cooper Murphy is going on a ride down the hill. He may not like the snow, but he looks like he’s having fun.
Love all your thankful things and that bush is most beautiful.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Scritches all around, a smooch to handsome Cooper Murphy and Sawyer and a big hug to mom. ♥
What a gorgeous splash of color your Camellia shrub is!! Amazing!
That poem and the added kitty feature was fun! I almost want to join Cooper M on his sled.
Oh, my, those camellias are magnificent! And during holidays they decorate your yard…magnificent.
Ha! I like the poem! I’m none too fond of snow myself. Spectacular camellia bush. Our camellias are just now starting to bloom, too.
Congrats on the Peloton thing!
I completed my physical therapy course on Monday, and feel terrific that I have the tools to avoid major back pain.
Now, keeping it up…
(Am investigating nearby gyms soon)
Hey Cooper, maybe it’s you who should be thankful those are snow people and not trees, that are dangerous to sledders, BOL! XOX Lucy and Xena
I love your blooming bush, it’s absolutely beautiful. Amy
We think that’s a great poem and we love the addition of Cooper Murphy. Your camellia bush is outstanding!
The Florida Furkids with love and whisker kisses to Sawyer from Noelle
Loved the addition of the sledding Cooper! Just what was needed as to me, that is a picture that could make a fella uneasy to see if you happened on it. Now seeing Cooper Murphey there makes it a joy to see! My camellia bush is firey red.
Oh that’s a fabulous poem AND photo “addition” by Coop. The photo this week really turned out to be VERY inspirational for the poets contributing their work – we’ve read some really good ones. We’re also impressed you’ve got your indoor holiday decorations done except for the trees – we know that’s a BIG project too!!!! Thanks for being poetic with us every week……..
Hugs, Teddy (for Angel Sammy) and Mom Pam
