Sparks
On Thursdays Kitties Blue and I share the specific things for which we are thankful. But expressing gratitude involves so much more than just listing those thankfuls. That is exactly what today’s Spark represents.
When I was in elementary school, my mom took me to see John F. Kennedy speak at a rally. He was so charismatic people flocked to him. I remember a huge crowd pressing forward trying to shake his hand. He was assassinated when I was a freshman in high school. He may have had his faults and imperfections, but he was an intelligent and perseptive man.
Sparks is the creation of Annie from McGuffy’s Reader. Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend. Annie stated when she began Sparks,“I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world.”

The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky
Your favorite, fun-loving tabbies will be sharing another of their adventures tomorrow. Please stop by Friends Furever to see what the heck they get up to or into…it’s bound to be something fun and maybe even exciting.
Understanding that nothing is handed out for free, on a silver platter, is a terrific way to show gratitude!
Cats really aren’t into that scene, however…hehehe!
I love the nose to toes photo. I cannot comment on JFK. I wasn’t borned then. Love, Dori

Hello Janet: I admired JFK also. I knew more about him than our Prime Minister. The day he was assassinated I was in school. I believe Grade 4. I was 9 yrs old. It came over our loud speaker…I was the ONLY one who burst into tears & I was inconsolable. WE were sent out for afternoon Recess & I stood alone in the pouring rain crying…Teacher called my Mother & Father & sent me home. My Mother & I cried hugging each other for the rest of the afternoon. The total shock was like a Tsunami….
I can say I NEVER forgot November 22nd & I still cry when I see JFK’s photos.
This SPARK is lovely….good words to live by
((hugs)) Sherri-Ellen

Kennedy. There was nor was/is anyone quite like him. I am referring to his presence and his core belief in what makes America. His human foibles…well, everyone has them like it or not. I remember when that tragedy happened. I was sitting with a friend in their house, and she was watching a soap opera I wasn’t interested, in so we were talking. Walter Cronkite broke in with the horrible news. I remember the day as nice, blue skies and sunny.
I love that SPARK…….Kennedy was far from perfect as a human but he certainly was wise in many ways. I love that quote. It’s SO true too. The photo of Kizmet and Cooper is simply adorable – nose to toes is cozy and let’s hope Cooper doesn’t decide to stretch that leg out any further and wake up Kizmet! HAHA
Hugs, Pam
That is a quote we all should take heed of!
And Kizmet and Cooper Murphy sure are cute when they are conked out together like that:)
