Sparks: Week #16
When I stumbled upon this quote, I knew I wanted to use it for the Sparks blog hop. So many of us are dealing with loss and sadness, whether it be from the death of a human or a furry loved one. Many others are dealing with personal health issues or those of a family member or fur child. And many others are effected by the shutdown of the U.S. government or some other life-altering ordeal.
I believe, as I would, each of these individuals would like a miracle to alleviate their grief, suffering and sadness. So, I thought a reminder to look for the little miracles might be helpful.
This is another photo by Dad Tom. It was taken at The Falls at Hill Creek, West Virginia, this past fall.
You may be unfamiliar with John Francis Bongiovi, Jr. You probably do know of him however. He is more commonly known as Jon Bon Jovi.
Sparks is a weekly blog hop established and hosted by Annie at McGuffy’s Reader. In establishing the hop, she wrote this, “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!”
If you’d like to join the hop, click on the Sparks badge.
Looks like you and Darla are on the same page this week. Excellent.
Have a fabulous day. ♥
I think Darla offered this quote this week, too! I love that we all have the same desire to put forth positive energy. This is wonderful. I always say that “Perception is everything. ” It is. I appreciate that others agree. Hugs!

Great minds think alike! ~hugs~ This photo is amazing, too. Wow. Makes me want to go there. That tree was just in my front yard. ~grin~ Happy Thursday!
Hello kitties, we missed you.
This is a beautiful post. Our mom has learned to appreciate the small things, the small miracles she calls them.
That is a beautiful photo and an excellent Spark. I did not realize that was Jon Bon Jovi 🙂
XO
Lovely photo of the waterfall and quote. I wish everyone the best and remember attitude makes a huge difference.
Great photo! And quote!
a timely reminder – so easy to overlook when we are being bombarded with bad news and sadness. Thank you
Both the photo and quote are beautiful. Yes, many people could use a small miracle right now.
Beautiful photo, and beautiful quote. Purrs
We all tend to want miracles to happen that would make life better. But, miracles are all around us if we’d simply open the eyes of our hearts to see them. This is a stunning waterfall capture and I hope it lifts the spirits of anyone dealing with sadness today!

Gorgeous photo, and wonderful quote.
That’s an excellent Spark for today. And who knew Jon Bon Jovi could be so profound?
A beautiful quote to begin the week and you’ve placed it with such a beautiful photo. I am so in agreement! Miracles are around us all day, every day. We just have to open our eyes, hearts and minds. I do hope the eye infection at your house miraculously disappears! Hugs!
That is a beautiful photo and a wonderful Spark!
What a beautiful post all around. Sometimes miracles are what get us through the day. And, as always, what a stunning photo. Purrs and prayers to all of you!
Now that’s a GREAT spark………..we knew who John Bongiovi was too but didn’t know he could be so very WISE……it’s a great lesson – people seem to think miracles have to be something SPECTACULAR to “qualify” but they can be as simple as a baby taking a first step, or a smile from someone who never smiles. Fabulous things are all around us if we just lower our eyes from the sky to what’s right in front of us.
Love, Pam and Teddy too
My human knew who John Francis Bongiovi, Jr. was… but then, she was a rock journalist in the 1980s.
That is a lovely spark, and we do seek for miracles…even at this den…
We do hope that there will be a healing miracle for that infection plaguing you at this time. May Mau and Calista Jo feel much better soon!
