Sparks
After yesterday’s BlogBlast for Peace post, I still had the desire to create something peaceful and meaningful. I know Sawyer is grateful for this sunpuddle, and I can’t think of anything more peaceful than a napping cat.
The author of today’s Spark, Melody Beattie, is an American author of 15 self-help books. Her international bestselling book, Codependent No More, introduced the world to the term “codependency” in 1986. Beattie has survived abandonment by her father as a toddler, being abducted by a stranger at age four, sexual abuse by a neighbor as well as drug and alcohol addiction, divorce and the death of her son, Shane, at age 12. Readers have trusted Beattie’s insight and guidance due to her personal experiences, which coincide with their own.
Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend, Annie (McGuffy’s Reader). Annie is taking a “break” from blogging, so there is no hop. Many of us still continue to post a Spark on Monday, as we believe in Annie’s vision: “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!”
Sawyer is also joining the Awww Mondays blog hop at Comedy Plus. To go there, click on the badge below.
What a beautiful spark. Our mom has read books by Ms. Beattie, and she thinks she’s such a strong and intelligent woman.
